Maya is done her 'yudh ka aaghaz'. Earlier I mentioned in one of my posts that Maya is just drawing the lines of her chakravyuh. Her battle has begun already, but the real war will only begin once she is in the Roy household. Let's rewind to a few high points of the episode.
Maya draws lines for Nandini - Maya is not just drawing battle lines, but also boundary lines for her mother to curb all access for her to any Roys. Maya is engaging in a war here with her enemies and cannot let her mother be in the line of fire when dealing with the Roys. This need to control is probably linked with the absence of her father and brother as well. Probably, they were casualties the last time, so Maya does not want her mother to suffer the same fate. So, she imposes a bodyguard on her mom and cuts off her access to Rudra - whom she sees as a possible groom of choice for Maya😉 - so we have found the one to play cupid for MayRa here.
Rudra's raaz 10 saal ka - Apparently Rudra's equation with his father soured 10 years ago on the Founders celebrations. And no one knows why. Not even Antara. Whatever happened, judging from flashbacks - resulted in him separating himself from his father not just from his heart, but from his life. Rudra did love Mrityunjay very much before. He used to plan these parties for his dad - and now he is least bothered. Mrityunjay not only screwed up his perception of love, but also his relations with his son. Co-incidentally, Maya also has bitter memories associated with one such Founders celebrations, that also 10 years ago. But I don't think that Rudra and Maya's incidents are the same. Otherwise, Rudra would have known Maya. But I can conclude, that everything began on the same day for both Maya and Rudra. Another point of similarity between MayRa. Rudra also is as sharp as his dad to understand his games to invite the investor to the party, because he knows that his dad will not let him fly on his own so easily. Hence he states to Ananya, Main Maya ko kho nahi sakta - in the context of the investor of course. Because, apparently Rudra has no feelings for Maya. And yet, Rudra mouths all romantic dialogues that are in the context of the investor or the author, but not the lover.🤪
Rishi 'A pet on a leash' - Rishi himself predicted his condition a few episodes ago. He said 'Tera Kutta Nahi hu mein'. And now Rishi has turned into a kutta, because of Maya - that too with a GPS tracking enabled collar. The way Maya catches all of Rishi's lies, she is no less than a GPS. And slowly slowly she is tightening that collar on Rishi, first by tricking him into proposing her and now by asking him to speak to his father. Oh, poor lad, he is regretting what he has got himself into. And Maya concluding her lovey-dovey act with kuch dinon mein tumhari jaan meri hogi. Some would take this as a death reference, but I would take Maya claiming Rishi's life as Maya claiming ownership of his life. Rishi's loss of his life means Rishi's change of ownership on his life - which is soon going to transfer from Mrityunjay to Maya. Btw, what is with Roy bros and CID. Rudra sees Maya in Daya and Rishi in ACP Pradyuman🤣. But in both cases, both find Maya scary. BTW, who found Maya's BABY, really funny. Oh yes, I did 😆
Mrityunjay's invitation - So, Mrityunjay has set the stage to eliminate this faceless investor, so that he can draw Rudra back under his control. But Rudra is not going to give in easily to his father's games. But, we have to watch out who is this investor Mrityunjay invited - because it certainly did not look like Maya. From the way he spoke, he may have spoken to a man and not a woman. If that is the case, then it will be very tricky if Rudra watches out for Maya and also watches over Mrityunjay and discovers that he thinks someone else to be the investor. However, it would be fun to watch Maya as the investor, because for once I would like to see someone else intimidate Mrityunjay and not the other way round. Maya should show Mrityunjay that women are not a doormat (Antara), or a parasite (Diya) or a fan (Ananya), but they can also be vicious and fierce when needed. And Rudra stands impressed by the end of the party because someone is there, who like him will not bow down before Mrityunjay. But, I guess we won't be getting such a face-off so soon.
Antara, 'the nobody' - Well, from being Mrs. Roy, in a matter of few episodes, Antara has been reduced to a nobody. Her status in Mrityunjay's life is definitely a nobody - but isn't it rather mean to display it before someone like Aamir. Her unsuccessful feat in inviting Rudra to the party is rubbed on her face by her husband. And a few moments earlier, Diya convinces her to come because she and Mrityunjay are the 'power-couple' with power only staying with Mrityunjay, and Antara rendered powerless. Not just that, Diya's equation with Mrityunajay is yet to be known, and how she has benefitted by this equation - is yet to be revealed. However, I would say, that Antara does genuinely love Mrityunjay which has cost her a lot - even her self respect. But Diya is there for another reason - which is definitely more than love.
Maya draws out her claws - Oh, she was looking so divine in the black dress, but all her plans are to slay her enemies with that divinity. Speaking of divinity, Maya seeks the blessings and support of Krishna, because she is heading to the Roys to claim her 1st victory. In Mahabharat, Abhimanyu stepped into the chakravyuh, but unknown to him was the exit. Only Arjun knew how to go in and come out of the chakravyuh. So the Abhimanyu in Maya is stepping into the chakravyuh, not to be slain by the maharathis, but to be safely guided out of it, by the Arjun in Rudra. As long as Rudra is there by her side, Mrityunjay will not be able to touch her. The party is definitely a test of Maya's strengths to survive her own chakravyuh, as she knows how she becomes whenever Mrityunjay is near her, but also Rudra's test, as to how he fares as Arjun. Apparently, Roy's household is Rudra ki Duniya for her. Interesting choice of words. She could have said anything else - Rishi ki Duniya, Roys ki Duniya - but she associated that home as Rudra ki Duniya. Rudra has definitely been able to carve a place in Maya's dark dark world, and Maya may not acknowledge it, but that is the truth. She asks her mother to feed her dahi-cheeni, so that her mother's blessings get her what she wants - her victory through someone else's loss.
