@Bold - are you serious? Why only daughters and DILs? Koi special obligation hota hai kya? - I don't have the word "only" in my comment. I mentioned daughters and dils.

I guess you didn't understand the reason I posted about daughters and dils. The author of the post was looking to see Veena s attitude towards daughter vs. Dil. "bahu kabhi beti nahi ho sakti" This post wasn't men vs. Women argument you're trying to arrive at

If Sona's mother overstepped her boundaries, Sona herself should pay the price? Talk about misplaced blame. And by the way, since we are talking about overstepping boundaries - who the hell are Veena and Naren to get a pre-nup done? It is Rohit's decision first and then anyone else's. If nothing else, she could have made that point.

Prenup will definitely become the issue later. Catch up with episodes after that ... a lot has happened. 👍🏼

Exactly it's Rohit and sona issue to go for prenup ..who the hell is veena and naren to overstep their boundaries

This dumbest sona then also did mistake ..she should have told if Rohit agrees i will sign

Then sippy family enjoyed her dumbness

Now they r complaining

Just as sona , being a new member , will take time to understand things in rohits family, likewise veena and sippy s will also take time to know sona and understand her , adjust with her.. it works both ways..veena is the head of the family after their grandmom..living in a joint family isnt easy..joint family dynamics are very different and complicated..so veenas job is to balance ..she was doing this before sona also and she will have to do with sona too..she is the bridge between sippy s and sona..coz she is really a nice ,loving and a balanced person , we must give her some leverage for this and try to understand the reasons behind her actions ..she might be wrong but not that wrong..

I really like your thinking. It is probably very rare that you will get hurt in life because you keep your expectations low and perhaps think practically. I wish I could think that way. My logic is - a girl leaving her own house, own parents, own siblings to stay at a new place after marriage, that have people with different tastes, different lifestyle, and different priorities. It is always the girl who has to adjust the most, who has to embrace all the odds or somethings that's not in her comfort zone. considering all these factors, is it too much for a girl to expect her mother in law to treat her as her own daughter? is it too much to ask her not to differentiate between her own daughter/son and herself? even if forget the bahi beti difference, tell me one thing- If a girl can make SO much sacrifice, is it too much to expect your mother in law to respect her daughter in law's work schedules and demands? I hope I made myself clear regarding the point i was trying to make.

What she did in regard to the rain dance episode was outright disrespectful and demeaning. I'm afraid Sona will slowly begin to make compromises with her career to make this cruella of a MIL happy.

This is such an unfortunate reality of our society. Why should the daughter in law always compromise with her career to make her family happy? Such a family doesn't deserve an evolved woman as their DIL anyway.

@bold: I truly hope that doesn't happen. that's just gonna ruin her character (if they haven't done that already with the whole pooja adoption thing yesterday. I'm so mad at her for taking the issue in her hand and do what SHE felt was right and not think about YK,nishi or rohit...outright disappointed man). Sona is known for her power to balance between real life and reel life. so if she gives up her work, that will be a total butcher of her character
