Veena Sippy _

Anyone else finds veena sippy annoying? I used to love her until I started seeing the double standards that she has when it comes to Sona.

The very first one being the prenup agreement. Areh, just because suman enquired about the sippys properties, you Doubt Your to be daughter in law, to the point that u ask her to sign the prenup papers? I'm not saying what suman did was right. But hello, ur not just asking her to sign some documents here. Ur straight up insulting her by indirectly telling her that she doesn't trust her with sippy properties.

Second one was when suman asked Sona to be home when that guest came. Like bruh, would u ask your husband and son to be at home just because there's some guest coming from Jakarta? Ok yes I understand that Sona is the newly wedded wifey and everyone wants to see her. But hello, not at the cost of her work!

Third one was today's episode. She went to suman to ask her NOT TO TELECAST RAIN THE RAIN DANCE EPISODE. like whaaaat?!?! Where does this lady even get the audacity to say that. With every passing episode, she just proves that she doesn't care about Sona or her work. Just because she's not a doctor like her son and husband doesn't mean her work isn't important. Just because she doesn't save lives doesn't mean her work isn't important. And then she comes back home furious just because suman showed her the real face. Truth is always bitter lady. 😳

I'm sorry if you like veena but Im just making some constructive criticism. I like her too but all these stuff she's been doing just getting on my nerve and it's too hard to overlook at this point. Do Share your views.

Sonakshi was not her DIL when prenap was signed and moreover it needs time to Trust someone, Sippys already said they find Sonakshi nice but her mother isn’t, in case of divorce Suman will definitely poke nose. Prenap wasn’t right but yeah trusting blindly at this stage is difficult.

Not of a cost of Her work, i agree. But seriously after the next day?Every lead actress take vacations,Divyanka Karan all got Married during the show and took enough vacation then why can't Sonakshi, NetraJi was like show me srif ek character hain,parvati!it was excess.Was it really something big to expect her newly wedded bahu to be present on a family dinner.Even we've work and tough schedule but our own mother also ask us to spare time right?

Whatever Veena dis about the rain dance was not right, but that doesn’t overshadow her support towards Sona over all these episodes, they way you're saying Veena Doesn't value her. I'm like are we watching the same show?

veena is a mother, all she want is happiness, sometime she does extra but always there by Sona. I don’t find her annoying at all. I will not forget all those supports she gave to Rohit & Sona. She's one of the loving character. Our mothers also shouts at us Doesn't make us love her less

Hmm, no i totally understand wjere you're coming from. But the the last two points I mentioned, it only gives rise to the question that does veena not consider Sona her daughter? Why is she putting a wall and creating double standard. Maybe I'm wrong but I didn't like how she is not giving importance to her work. If she did, she would never ever go to suman and ask her to not telecast the rain dance. That really bothered me. What you said about netra is correct though. I totally agree maybe they did go overboard with that. And as far as the prenup is concerned, I still this asking Sona to sign them was a bit too much. I'm not asking her to trust blindly but there's something called respecting one's self respect which veena clearly didn't. Tell me one thing--would she be okay if veena had a daughter who would be asked to sign prenup by her daughters in laws? Would she be ok if her daughter's in laws interfered her work to the point that they ask not to air an episode? I don't think so. And either way, didn't they know sonas profession demands such intimacy?! Then why? The three things I mentioned only rings one thing in my head - "bahu kabhi beti nahi ho sakti"

The reality is yes..bahu is not beti so she must never try to be one..its a futile exercise 😆 Just as mil can never be like mother..exceptions r there of course.. see every relation has its beauty, importance and place..why unnecessary complicate things with such expectations..this way every mother and mil and daughter and dil are bound to fail ..or max pass with grace Marks😆

Just as sona , being a new member , will take time to understand things in rohits family, likewise veena and sippy s will also take time to know sona and understand her , adjust with her.. it works both ways..veena is the head of the family after their grandmom..living in a joint family isnt easy..joint family dynamics are very different and complicated..so veenas job is to balance ..she was doing this before sona also and she will have to do with sona too..she is the bridge between sippy s and sona..coz she is really a nice ,loving and a balanced person , we must give her some leverage for this and try to understand the reasons behind her actions ..she might be wrong but not that wrong..

Completely agree. Veena has proven time and again that she has no regard for Sona's work whatsoever. She wants Sona to put her work second to the family every single time. What she did in regard to the rain dance episode was outright disrespectful and demeaning. I'm afraid Sona will slowly begin to make compromises with her career to make this cruella of a MIL happy.

This is such an unfortunate reality of our society. Why should the daughter in law always compromise with her career to make her family happy? Such a family doesn't deserve an evolved woman as their DIL anyway.

Regarding pre-nup, it wasn't Veena's call in the first place. She pulled the final straw and nodded thanks to Sona's mother. When guests come both mothers and mothers in law expect daughters and dils to be at home. I don't see it's wrong. I remember Veena appreciating Pooja who made arrangements that day ... By asking not to telecast definitely Veena went overboard. Yeah . Veena needs to get some opinion of her own and on other side Sona needs to tone down her opinions of other's life. But I find Veena more realistic when compared to Sona.

See if ur dil is working u should inform them atleast 4 days before so that they will maje necessaryy arrangements ..u can't tell one day before like what happened to sona

In usa guests also inform atleast a week before when they plan to visit so that the working couple would bd at home and recieve them

Thats min respect u show to a working men or women

It may not have been her call, but she did support it. She could have chosen to take a stand but she didn't. This step doesn't show any attempt at acceptance.

@Bold - are you serious? Why only daughters and DILs? Koi special obligation hota hai kya?
