But your assumption that kzk is picking up in numbers now because women are fighting each other and that shows our mindset as a society is extremely wrong and judgemental, not in the least because it is simply not the whole picture. It is OK to watch a show through colored and prejudiced lenses but that does not mean we don't view the story, characters for who and what they are. The trp is currently not rising because two women are fighting with each other. It is rising because currently the show has a clearly defined hero, heroine and villain. People who watch rooting for the lead couple of the show to be together have all the signs that they are meant to be. There's drama, there's emotion, there's also a FL who is sure of her place and wins in her battles.

See, an ASSUMPTION is an assumption and not absolute as a fact, that’s why it’s better called an Opinion. Like you believe the TRP rise is attributed to a better pattern in storytelling. I believe it’s the cat fights bringing the bits.

This is not simply two women fighting. It is a battle of good versus bad, right versus wrong, and this is usually the basic premise of any good story starting with our great epics like mahabharata.

A battle between good and bad where we know that the good will ultimately win is the ultimate feel good viewing experience and it is this in a nutshell that's drawing the viewers back in.

I love the fact that you used the basic tales. That’s how most of our ITV storytelling works or even in movies. Good vs Bad etc etc. You think it’s due to that? Well, partly, maybe yes.

Also I find the premise that we are an urban viewing audience and so should have more refined tastes a little bemusing. Ultimately it's ebtertsinment and if thats what one derives from it, then purpose served. Be it rural or urban!

See, entertainment and tastes are HIGHLY subjective. The fact that I watch KZK makes me laughing stock amongst my colleagues and friends alike. Still, no matter how much I hate it, I watch ITV shows.

Though my premise is not entertainment but I watch it for simply storytelling and communications perspective. Helps me understand human psyche and forum Baazi is also a part of it, so that I interact with n number of people.

Anyway, digressing from the topic, there’s a wonderful series on Netflix about How movies are made. I found it extremely interesting and do recommend it to everyone for understanding how entertainment is not only subjective but fragile and inconsistent. People’s likes and dislikes change over a period of time too.

Even human tastes change too. You have no idea how much I hated blockbuster shows when they were on air and then changed my mind watching in retrospection.

Anyway, coming back to the topic. Human mind is superbly complex and pleasure, entertainment is even more layered. Sometimes, I wonder what will be the fate of content that is churned out in future.

Gr8 analysis.

Urban viewership is more mainly bcoz Parica are superbly popular among urban fans from their previous shows. I think 3/4th fandom watch kzk just for them n not bcoz of storyline. Initially, it got numbers bcoz of kzk franchise. But currently it's mainly parica. We all know story is not so gr8 to watch, but still watching it bcoz we enjoy watching parica as pair.

I agree with you that urban population is the biggest contributor and actors are the crowd pullers. I think 3/4 is a fair number that you've mentioned... but we'd never know the actual numbers for that...

Well, you people can pretend to act innocent, edit out stuff or add something horrendous further - I don’t care about that all! I know the politcs of this forum really and I know things were carried out in a really detailed way to demean me and play the victim card. Clearly this is a planned thread - I’ve my research as well and I can see how cunningly this post against me was made after my post somewhere else - and now pretending to be innocent and unaware, and editing out stuff when the deed is done.

I just want to clear one more thing - I didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s sentiments with that post of mine, nor my intention was to show that people from rural areas are lesser than people from upper class or urban societies - I hold high regard for people from those areas and feel this deep admiration for them. My point was clearly to make it clear that a show doesn’t make us progressive or regressive but we, as a whole society lack in so many different dimensions. Also, I just highlighted different perpesctvies regadring watching a show. When I’m saying that watching stuff or reading cool stuff doesn’t make us progressive then why people here are being so defensive? What I was trying to say is we are regressive either way and our choices of watching stuff doesn’t prove a point or a mindset. I highlighted certain things there and then one of those was that paragraph you quoted without even my permission. That was one of my points - I was trying to clarify that people who watch kzk are not the advocates of all that regressive stuff and condemned the term that was used to describe us - “chauvinist.” My point was - there are Kasauti viewers out there who have got their own stories to tell and you can never know, here you’re judging them but they might be the victims of same kinda treatment.

Please people from rural areas read the whole post in that thread. And stop painting a narrative here that wasn’t intended from my side.

This was my last cent here because I just wanted to clear this with those genuinely concerned people who took offense.

I don't think I had to read anything beyond these lines.. if you want to believe something, you will belive it. Nobody can change that, I would have still loved to quote your quote because that's the best way to write with the source where one starts from. I am already in peace with myself and with you too and I always was even while making the post. And still stand by my point that it is easy to generalise things but it could be a different picture when we talk based on facts. But it wouldn't make a difference because you said- you don't care. And you are most welcome to not care and I thank you for investing your time.. it did teach me a rule though, its okay to indirectly say something like what it looks like after editing but not directly like it was before.. thanks!

PS.. think after all the anger is gone down, if there was anything horrendous or not.. but you may not because you don't care! Which is again your choice :)
