Panipat will flop only because of Arjun Kapoor

Its brilliant film. Getting great critics and audience reviews but the film gives a bad mode because of Arjun Kapoor. He does not have any screen presence to play a warrior or a lead hero. He is strictly for supporting roles.

But everybody is praising Arjun. I m confused. Even Sucharita called him effective , is effective a nicer word to say he sucks ?

when critics use say words like effective, solid, fine and so on, it generally means theek thak tha, tatti nahi tha.

But none of the big stars were ready to work with Ashutosh after the disastrous Mohenjo..so...

Exactly that is the reason: he got a bit desperate after MD, as he wanted to make what he loves and - possibly- had to accept the offer as it was (we will probably never get to know what was the TRUE deal between producers and Ashutosh ).. Still, he shouldn't have compromised anyway- or not on the main lead casting. Maybe(?) he got a 'package deal' : get budget but you have to take Arjun in main role.

Otherwise, his casting boggles the mind. I am sure there are other actors that would have 'fitted the bill' and would have accepted a similar fee to what Arjun got paid- just so they can work with AG.

Who hires a talentless hack for movie this big? (Unless his father or gf is putting money)

Asutosh’s best movie till date is Lagaan and that too because of Aamir (interference) . Otherwise he makes very one note movies.
