Did you like October the movie?

I watched October again and its such a beautiful movie...so slow yet so lyrical, so subtle yet so meaningful. I know a lot of people didn't like the movie because nothing much happened, but I think that's the beauty of it. The silences in the movie spoke volumes...

This is definitely Varun Dhawan's best performance. And the songs....I loved them. So melodious.

IMHO, too slow. It was beautiful, though.

I've said it in another thread, Varun should combine some 'delicacy' from October with his rawness/anger in Badlapur.... I think that would be a great mix and give him both critical and commercial success.

Varun is a good actor, but he seems to have got the balancing act wrong, tilts too much towards masala films whereas his range can be explored by doing these kind of movies more...he should stop acting in brainless comedies and find good scripts like Ranbir did at the beginning of his career.

I also agree the movie was slow, but that didn't take away from its charm. The movie has repeat value, even though you really need to wrap yourself around it. It's not a mindless watch.
