The church is Saint- Joseph Oratory.... Very famous..... After exams I always went there to light a candle .... Yes the view is amazing from top... Lived my whole life in this neighbourhood until like 5 years ago.

The temple in the summer... There are two big chariot festivals in summer... One is Murugan Temple in West island and then Val- Morin Temple which is like 1-2 hours from Montreal on the way to Quebec City.... Not sure which one you went to....both festivals always gather crowds... The Murugan temple kind of overtook in popularity now.

- Old Montreal

- Basilique Notre Dame Church (in old Montreal)...Celine Dion got married here.

- Montreal Botanical Garden

- Olympic Stadium

- Mont Royal for a view of the city... At night it's beautiful

- Montreal Biosphere

- Habitat 67

There are more places but the above are kind of like the popular one.

I don't know why the Indian industry does not come to Montreal much for songs shooting... always it's Toronto or Vancouver.

@bold will be visiting canada for the holiday seasons...If by chance stop at Montreal I do hope to atleast check out some of these places thanks for the recommendations.

My husband only knew the passcode.. I cursed myself for not knowing from him when he set it the previous night... ( andha alavukku kooda arivu illai 🤦‍♀️)

now my kids are inside sound asleep and I am struck outside with my bare foot.( standing with barefoot is considered disgusting in Japan ) I tried many combination of numbers which he possibly might have kept ..but nothing worked out ..i knocked the door , rang the bell many times but my kids were sleeping like kumbakrnan’s descendants.. romba satham podavum embarrassing aa irundhadhu .. public nuisance nu nenaichikkuvanaga la...

if I have to call the security people also I have to go downstairs .. but embarrassed to go with my night shirt and pants .. that too with unruly hair and half sleep eyes ..+ bare foot ( serial heroine aa yenna appadiyae fresh aa irukka..?)

Luckily one guy from the other apartment came out that time when he was about to enter the elevator I muster up my courage and went to him and asked for his help explaining my situation .. all he said was “ I don’t speak English “ I was like 😲) some how with sign language and all I made him to understand my situation and asked for his phone to call my husband .. he offered his phone I tried couple of times but Avaru yedukalai 😡.. he was restless as he was late to his office .. so I said arigatho and gave him his phone back..

Then again my mission started ,knocking the door , trying different passcode .. I was at the verge of crying .. because appo dhaan mani 7 .. yezhupaama vittaa my kids would sleep till 10 ...

After sometime when I lost all the hope .. one security person came to me ( I don’t know how he reached there .. may security camera la paarthu vandhirupaanga nu nenaikiren)and asked what is the problem ( avaru Japanese la sonnaaru yenakku onnum puriyala so I assumed it )

I explained but avarukku onnum purinji irukaadhu I am sure ..he asked for my personal details and he checked it with his database ..and confirmed that naan andha veettu aalu dhaannu .. then he went back again and came with spare keys and open the door .. door open panna sathatha kettadhum sorga vaasal thirandha maadhiri irundhadhu.. “ raasaa nee romba nallaa irukkanum yaa “ nu nenaichikittu .. I thanked him whole heartily ..

From then till the time we vacated the house I was very keen on not letting the door close behind my back when I keep the trash outside . even though I knew the passcode to enter .. 🤣

Kala it must of been very troubling and traumatizing especially new country new people and very new ..but only u yaar can explain a story like this with such humor. @bold was dying of laughter. I enjoy ur japan stories seems japan will always remain something special for u .
