Another reason for my writing is all my friends who are heartbroken today. Sammy, Harvs, Navsy, Kanta, Archie, Sangs, Somali, Cherry and few hundred more - the die hard JB fans who are just down in the dumps...
I saw a movie called vantage point...basically what the movie does is to reconstruct different perspectives of audience and bystanders. If you like scene 1, I will also write scene 2, This just says why he did what he did today, not what's going to happen in the future.
This is scene 1:
A Father's revenge
He sat on the rocking chair, utterly in shock, is this true? Was she behind the plot to kidnap and kill his children? Did she actually try to bite the hand that fed her? How could he have been so nave? It all coincided nicely…Mohan in financial trouble, Meera coming to work for him as his personal secretary, conveniently the kidnapping happened a couple of months later. Even after the money was exchanged, the kids were killed, it was because they could recognize his friend and his secretary and they didn't want any clues to be left behind. It was too convenient for them when he chucked out Bani, suspected her of betraying him and being the cause of his children's death. Mohan disappeared and Meera was left behind and cried crocodile tears, and he wanted to show the world that he was still strong after his wife left with a much younger man. So he had married her.
It was only when he went to the outhouse, he found the letters, the letters the kidnapper wrote and the handwriting seemed familiar. It was Meera's writing…she was the culprit, she was the brains behind his children's sad demise.
Meera played her cards well, she was smart…she didn't overtly come on to him, she sympathized with him, she brought his daughter closer to him…but only because she came to know about his will, his will that he never changed even after his children's death. It said that all his property and money belonged to his children and if they are not alive then it would go to an orphanage. And Meera knew that Ganga was his offspring, and is entitled to all his money.
Bani was like a putty in Meera's hands. Meera played with her emotions so well, made sure that Ganga would be adopted by him. If he was right, he would be the next one to be killed, and then Meera would be the custodial parent for Ganga. All the money would be in her control, to do whatever she wished.
When Bani showed inordinate interest in the outhouse, he could see Meera getting worried, and that's when he thought that he would delve into the matters himself. He was shocked that Bani's accident was pre-planned. But Bani being Bani wanted to do jassoosi her own style. She suspected him of doing wrong things in the outhouse. He stopped being angry with Bani long time ago, knowing her full well, he knew that what she said about Daksh was just to put him off.
The love they have for each other culminated in passion and making love. But he knew all along Meera would arrive on the scene sooner or later and that Bani would sacrifice her love for Meera with a false sense of obligation.
He needed solid proof of Meera's hand along with Mohan's hand in his kids death. For that he would pretend to be on Meera's side, put the MS in her neck, if he had to. They always say keep your enemies close to your heart. He will take revenge on her, catch her red handed, make her confess to her crimes.
When they made love together, he told Bani the real reasons why he was at the outhouse. And together they agreed to smoke Meera and Mohan from their cave. It galled him to put the MS in her neck, he wanted to scrub his hands several times, but he had an obligation toward his children, he needed to take a father's revenge, even if it meant that he had distance himself from his real love, Bani.
Love,
