This made me think of Mini- Babitha relationship. Mini always wanted Babitha to become what she was not. Though it was a right thing, it must have put Babitha under lot of pressure. It might have also given her a feeling of her daughter not loving her for what she is ( it's not true ofcourse ) . Also I wonder if somewhere Babitha was revolting against this pressure of becoming someone else after her marriage. She knew HS would love her even if she is weak or twisted. May be this was one of the reasons of her not wanting to do anything with the shop.
Now that Mini will be in same position as Babitha where Arya will want her to be someone else. How will Mini feel if someone constantly tells her this is not the way you should be and you should change yourself?
They keep talking about be a Victor and not victim but looks like they always wanted their protagonist to be victim.
Which is why they couldn’t take forward Independent and Strong Babita in their story.
During Imarti track, Mini came out as Hero whereas they could easily kept balance between Mini and Babita and both should have been support to HS.
They had to make Babita fall back to victim mentality and stretched it to far end, completely butchering her character.
And now since they ran out with the ideas to make Babita victim, they turned Mini into Babita, Victim of her circumstances. Looks like writers can’t do without a victim protagonist.
