LOL he called Mini his beti even before the declaration scene.....the declaration was partly for Babita's benefit but the point remains that he had started treating her like a daughter some scenes before that declaration only.
And this particular scene.....what again struck me while watching it in sequence.....some scenes back, Babita essentially tried to bring up similar arguments to stop him from drinking....trying to remind him of Imarti etc. but he bristled when Babita tried to mention Imarti and refuse to listen to Babita even one bit. However, when Mini mentioned Imarti in this bit and said he doesn't care about Imarti, he doesn't care about his Veer Balika's feelings...somehow that suddenly seemed to get to him😆.....and ek jhatke mein daaru give up kar di.
So that makes me wonder.....was it easier to listen to the beti that reminded him of Imarti than to the woman who reminded him of Imarti? After all, as HS loved to say many times....aadmi-aurat ka rishta badaa complicated hota hai.....lol....when Babita as a WOMAN tried to stop him from drinking, he bristled.....but when Mini as a DAUGHTER tried to make him feel guilty, he was suddenly willing to give up anything she asked him to. Was it easier with Mini cuz there was never the complication of a mard-aurat ka rishta to deal with there? Or was it easier cuz when Mini evoked Imarti, he felt she understood and so he didn't block out what Mini tried to say to him......but when Babita evoked Imarti, HS didn't feel like she understood so he mostly blocked her out?
Just some random musings 😆

Correct. I think it's the latter, that Babita didn't get him and his Imarti so he didn't feel she had the right to bring her up, while Minnie did, that toi in front of Imarti's father.

Yes I had wondered about that too...he had got so riled up when Babita had brought Imarti's name to stop his drinking but when Mini said it, he got more emotional, bekar me Babita ko daant fatkar laga di 😆 ...jokes aside, Mini was always his emotional anchor and vice versa but as far as Babita is concerned, he had to be the latter for her most of the time while Babita was never really privy to all his emotions ever coz he had never opened up to her in the way he had to Mini.
I understand everyone here is very emotional and attached to Imarti but personally I think that track was not that great and not that much necessary except for the HS-Mini bits. The only thing I loved about that track was Mini's unwavering support for her Hanuman uncle, their scenes in those episodes were terrific..

LOL everyone? Can't speak for everyone, but I'm personally not very emotional or attached to Imarti😆
I'm speaking of what the storyline has depicted of her in terms of her impact on HS ki life.....he views a lot of things in his life through Imarti's prism. At one point, I had personally wanted his relationship with Mini to evolve beyond him just viewing her as an extension of Imarti.
But in the last phase, it became apparent that this is what it will remain as....for him, Mini was always Imarti reborn and Imarti was the one jisko toot ke pyaar kiya tha HS ne.....so by extension, Mini se bhi toot ke pyaar kiya HS ne.
As for the Imarti track itself....it was a mixed bag....I also mainly like the HS-Mini scenes from it. The rest didn't impact me as much.

Not everyone. At least I am not. I feel it was extremely unnecessary and totally unwanted. Even though Hs and Mini were shown, Babita was totally degraded during that track. To be very honest, I hate that track particularly because it was a downfall of Babita's character and Hs was shown as that typical aashiq, even if he loved Babita. He was still hanging on with his first wife's memories, and sometimes he himself questioned loving Babita, which was totally wrong. So, I personally dislike that track....

At first he didn't want to open up to her because she had suffered a lot but later he realized she doesn't take interest in his matters if they don't involve her directly, that too matters to do with his pain. We have never seen her ask him about his parents, forget Imarti.

Again a timing issue....he initially didn’t want to open up to Babita cuz he thought her own suffering was so much, why burden her with his own. Then by the time they grew closer, her past was a bit behind her, and it would have been natural for them to share their past with each other, ego battles came in between and he again started holding back more.
In some ways, Babita’s suffering was public and it sort of freed her to wallow in it....she only thought about HS ki suffering in terms of how it was holding him back from her. I noticed this recently in the scene when she tried to stop him from drinking....when she talks to Mini about the tees and kharaash that HS has suppressed in his heart that doesn’t let him move forward, it seemed she was more upset about how it was holding him back from her rather than freeing him from his demons overall.
Mini also initially was upset cuz she thought him still being so consumed by Imarti would leave no room for her Babes but then her support for him during the court case helped her understand his emotions for Imarti on a seperate level beyond just thinking of it having an impact on the HB relationship....it actually was among the rare phases in the show where Mini viewed something independently of its impact on her Babes ki life.....this specific bit was just about wanting HS to be free of pain and suffering for his own sake....she couldn’t bear seeing him suffer.

Same and fortunately or unfortunately Pb had caught my attention from that track only but at that point it was solely coz of Ashnoor (having seen her in NBT) but then gradually things started to change and how 😳..glad I came across the show otherwise would have missed some terrific execution of story and Aniruddh too 😊
