Anu and Jean, I have a lot to say in your discussions too, will join as soon as I read all your posts 💓 I am so glad we are getting to discuss these now as I couldn't discuss them when the scenes were actually on air..
LOL yeah I'm glad we are getting to discuss these now too.....I suppose I've just entered the best phase of the show so I can't help but yap about it more too. Previously when I was posting the scenes, I kinda just focused on that....but now while posting a scene, I feel like talking about it too😆

The sathi re sequence is another of my favs...both of them terribly missing each other and wanted to be with each other but couldn't..and how beautiful was Babita somehow sensing it without even knowing the reason.. sigh..
This may be random but the bit I love from this sequence is HS holding the cards for her during the card game😆.....I just love how it moves from awkwardness to both of them getting into the game and wanting to beat Bobby/Preet.....then the way they are so happy when they finally do and almost high-five before awkwardly backing off.....
But yes, apart from that, the way the time is shown passing with HS always standing outside the door watching Mini from a distance, his concern for her apparent in little things like him noticing the empty saline bottle and getting the nurse to change it....he yearns for Mini but still tries to be content in watching her recover from a distance.
Oh yes, when he reminds her that he carried her down to begin with... The look on everyone's faces as he picked her up again without wanting for more nonsense and the way she kept looking at him as he walked up the stairs. So much was said in those moments of silence and he looked every bit her father, as though he had always been from day 1.
That thank you from her was enough to break his heart all over again, as if reducing all his love and care to an ehsaan - he was going to take that hit for her but could not look at her for long or bare to remain in that room. Also the look on his face when he said he'd ask Lala to help her find a place - I don't think he could bear to do that himself. Likewise when he finds out much later about them leaving the haveli, after thank you from Babita, he's unable to take it and walks out. The parallels in this show are just superb.
She will never be a burden to him but just as he felt an outsider between Babita and Minnie during and after the hospital scene, he has felt that way throughout.
That Thank You scene just pierces the heart.....Mini's heartbroken tone as she says it and the way he closes his eyes in pain, turns back for a bit to look at her, then turns away again.....you can feel his struggle, the mix of emotions that are too much to bear....he doesn't know what to say, his eyes are saying everything in that scene about his hurt.....and Mini could see his hurt but didn't know what else to say so she tried to thank him first.....feeling guilty for all that she had said to hurt him in their fight, the way she had pushed him away.....not realizing that the thank you from her is hurting him just as much......sigh, these two.
This scene is just so powerful for the way HS and Mini are looking at each other....what their eyes say beyond the words....when he looked at Mini pointedly while saying, "takleef toh hui" and she understood what he was saying......this was such a complicated phase for them because the issue at hand was Babita once again but it was HS-Mini who were feeling torn apart by the fallout. ....and tragically, neither of them could share it with Babita....so all they could do was convey their pain through their eyes towards each other.
The stairs scene was him taking charge again.....and yes, I also loved the way Mini was watching him the whole time

She was never a burden to him but this scene showed that Mini also suffered that insecurity....she didn't want to feel like a burden to anyone....she didn't want him to feel obligated towards her simply out of the goodness of his heart.....but he brushed it all aside and picked her up with the haq of love....and you can just see the vulnerability on her face as she feels his love for her in that moment, and the guilt wracks her for having hurt him.

You're very welcome, Jean....LOL oh this reminds me, I need to update the Index again....I've fallen behind a bit the last few days😆

I just watched this bit..the gifs , I can't thank you enough for taking the time out and making them for us 😳 that no-nonsense and right which he showed at that moment was something else 😊 an then that Thank You from Mini just broke his resolve!! Both of them complemented each other perfectly in that scene:) I can rewatch it countless times seriously!

This is actually an advantage..when everybody is so disappointed with everything around, we are getting to relive the initial magic with these lengthy discussions which we missed at the golden hour:)

@bold that bit they just do it so naturally, both HS-Minnie and AD-Ashnoor, does not even look like a script sometimes..
@indent what I liked in the other bit was how Babita noticed it and then she even told him to come inside to meet Minnie later on

Minnie was already guilt-ridden from the hospital conversation onwards. She could see how much he loved her and cared for her well-being, the fact that he was willing to give up the chance of being with Babita just for her.
Everything was in their eyes including, as you said, their inner battle with their emotions while trying to act as if all was fine in the world. The "bohot takleef hui, but it's ok" line just pierces might heart every single time and the background music doesn't help. Minnie's heart is in her eyes as she sees the effect of her outburst on him and knows how much takleef he feels indeed, yet tries to keep up appearances in front of the very woman this whole 'fight' was about.
When she said she was too heavy for him, it was nothing to do with her body weight but everything to do with all the baggage she came with, which was something he had never considered too big a burden. I do love the haq with which he shushes her and takes her upstairs - AD did a great job with that stoic face which showed HS' self control as he took his daughter to her room, tucked her in and was about to leave.
It was a great follow up to their fight in the room when he finds out exactly what he means to her, how much she idolizes him, wants to be like him, what a huge impact he's had on her life, that she considered him her Hanuman Uncle. Before all this, I don't think he'd ever imagined he was that important to her, enough to change her views about life, love, and men. Sure, he knew she adored him as an uncle, but to have been placed on a pedestal like that and then to somehow have disappointed her for failing to meet the expectations she had of him, which he had previously never known, was too much for him to take. I can't forget HS' stunned face when she tells him to his face that he was her hero, her idol.
All her words were running through his mind and he was hurt for having unknowingly hurting her too. Sigh...
I have been wondering what it is that makes this bond so touching to watch, compared to other (also) adorable father-daughter relationships on screen. I think it's because rarely on ITV are we shown the emotions of men in their roles as fathers with this level of detail, with the nuances that we see in PB. A mother's emotions, her pain and fears are quite often focused on but fathers don't usually get this treatment on screen. On top of that, they have no blood or legal ties when this scene happened, yet HS' ability to understand Minnie so so well, despite knowing her only for a few months, was just phenomenal to watch.
She made him a father and he made her a daughter.
