This is what I'm feeling logically too. Because, of the 3 tracks in this show till now, only the previous track was a complete repeat of the earlier season and has been completely rejected. This has shown clearly that the audience is in no meed to see a repeat of season 1. That's what makes me believe that baby or no baby, the story is not going to go down the season 1 route and the current track is a solid indication of that since it's a complete revamp of the show and a completely new track, with no parallels to the earlier season.

Also anurag's character keeps repeating time and time again that no matter who comes and goes, the Jodi will be only one.

Having seen the show till now, I feel there are going to be two overarching themes throughout:

1) anupre always have a benaam rishta, ie no legal marriage etc.

2) they may never live together, but they may never move on with someone else too.

Let's see.

If maata was not so obsessed with her iconics, she would clearly see that the best track and best character of season 2 has been naveen babu. A character who has no connection with season 1. Her writers do their best when they are given a free reign and don't have to follow the blueprint of season 1.

I hope atleast now, she learns her lesson.
