Yes people do that but only when they know that their children will not have to depend on it when bad times come around. hey have money on their own, their family unit is normal and traditional. Here no one knows what is HS's responsibility financially toward Minnie since she is not his legally adopted daughter. Babita gave up on her family jewelry and alimony. Now she is selling off her business because she doesn't care. Does she think of Minnie's educational costs or wedding related costs and where will that money come from? If she doesn't then she is just being an irresponsible mother who is only thinking of her own feelings and not the practicality of real life situations.

within a span of 24 days she took the decision to write off Minnie's maternal grandparents home by asking her who is she to tell her what to do. As I said, she needs to think about Mini while deciding about the shop

Maybe she plans to keep the money she gets from the shop for Mini? We will never know

Babita did not think about her father's will when they were in worse situation.. why would she be hesitant to sign it off now?

Lastly, Babita never expected Mini to sacrifice her career .. in fact just a couple of days ago, she asked Mini to focus on her dreams.. she does not know Mini wants to go abroad

She's not getting any money from the shop, it's running in losses. And on the top of that she decided to sell it at 2 lakh while she purchased it at 10 lakh that too with bank loan.

That's why I'm pissed at her. She's totally ignoring financial situation.
