If Ashok is repenting now, Mini deserves a chance to speak with him, to read the letter she got from her father, to ask questions and make demands. Babes is the mother. While I understand where her insecurities stem from, they need to take a back seat to her daughter's needs and mental well-being.

look i dont think ashok is entirely black for having an EM affair. Being alone in a far away country in a different culture, to earn for family, no close person to interact. Its not easy. His parents were very selfish to not let babita & mini go because if they were here Ashok would come to meet them often. So that was very selfish they wanted a better life and money but Ashok is the one who has to manage a lonely life. Babita took it as they were sacrificing for their family. But did she ask if ashok wants to sacrifice. I remember ashok telling her that he loves meeta because she fought with them for ashok and babita could never stand up to be with him. it was ashoks fault too for not asking babita to be sent and for not coming clean on babita with the affair for so many years. But people make mistakes and are scared to own up to them. The completely turning of ashok black happened with the divorce case.
