Honestly rishabh is the most interesting character of balaji of recent times, because he has many shades and layers than can be explored. He's the most sane and level-headed character in the show, has the potential to be the strongest voice in the room if given the chance and that too without screeching like an angry young man at the top of his lungs that karan is prone to doing nowadays but rather by the sheer force of his words.

I think the 'Rishabh's' 'love aspect' (in a romantic way) NOT being shown post Preeta's marriage with Karan is in fact a VERY GOOD thing, I for one think that considering Rishabh and Karan are 'brothers' this is probably the best way to show his genuine affections (in a platonic way) towards Preeta, without the overt use of sentimental background music, suits Rishabh as a character. Tbh, if he wasn't shown to be as a 'nice' a guy as he is, it would have been seriously creepy if he was being seen as pining for his brother's wife. It is the most dignified way of showcasing him without cheapening his feelings.

Plus, I like the contrast being made very clear among the personalities of not just Rishabh and Karan, but also Rishabh and Prithvi and also Karan and Prithvi.

However, I still don't trust the makers. They have consistently shown us glimpses of what Rishabh can be, but have 'never' fully utilised him as a character, and constricted him to this arbitrary wall of I am not even sure what 'maryada' maybe?!? Who knows!!! I will NOT keep my eggs in his basket, for now at least.

@Bold- I'm not sure about this part. Could you maybe elaborate here? For me rishabh has been the most level-headed and sorted character in the show whose head is always firmly on his shoulders, but when needed he is the strongest and sanest voice in the room. I also feel like he has potential to be really smart and shrewd if writers ever concentrated on him more.

i actually saw it coming.

because i still think they kept rishabh quiet just to drag for a few weeks without any progress in original storyline. also they always use rishabh as a surprising factor in the show.

Exactly my point!!!! Rishabh has the potential to be a LOT MORE THAN HE IS BEING ALLOWED TO BE by the makers. He has been (or should I say he was written) in a manner which makes him probably the most categorically 'well written' character in the show. However, I feel as thou the makers don't necessarily give him his due, as character.

As u rightly said 'IF' the writers decide to concentrate on him more he has potential to be and do a lot of things, BUT the operative term here is 'if'. 😳

The question is NOT whether or not Rishabh will be able to keep his feelings in check, because he has already proved the fact that he can and he has, again I feel Rishabh and Preeta both are just genuinely shown to be really, really committed people. Although, he said yes to Sherlyn because of a misunderstanding, and there were many an opportunity where he could have backed-out of his wedding, but he didn't. (And I know, to some people it might as well be spinelessness, which it is) But it also shows the fact that he believes in the sanctity of the commitment he made, because the main reason why he never 'confessed' his feelings for Preeta was because for one he knew she didn't feel the way in which he felt for her, but also because he knew she was also committed in her engagement to Prithvi.

The point I am trying to make is it is Karan's reaction that really needs to be seen once the 'WHOLE' truth is out. (If the 'whole' truth is out)
