That's called break....now a days actors charge a whopping amount so just for few scenes they cant hang around.

Now that you said this, it also seems like that was an Era where Ekta was obsessed with an older guy and younger woman story.. It was accepted then but not now.

To be honest I'm not really sure about the whole reboot concept itself.. If you call something a reboot and then proceed to repeat something from the original, what's the point? Remakes are popular in movies because we are talking of 2 to 2 1/2 hours there.. Who has the patience to watch a TV show for half an hour everyday if it's a story they have already seen not that very long ago..

The earlier the czarina of Indian television realizes that, the better..
