I think women should be capable of paying their bills and rent before getting married. After that, they can quit if they want to but at least they would have had the experience of earning money and fending for themselves, instead of suddenly venturing out into the unknown world.

I had no money when I left, I had to start from scratch. It was tough.

I don’t agree to her choice. Stupid choice hai yeh. Not practical.

I am just thinking about Minnie's higher education here.

I think it also depends on the set up.

In many households, the housewife gets a monthly allowance from her husband, almost like a salary which is entirely hers to keep. In other households there's no such thing.

I agree that being a working woman is a great example, and many women choose to work part time because they find it easier to manage home and work life. Others work full time as well as manage the house.

I guess different people want different things.

Is it really just her choice? Shouldn't ideally the onus fall on both partners to earn for the household?

I know a lot of things go into being a housewife. My mother is one. But I don't understand it as this point because Babes can hire help for the house. She doesn't have any kids to look after right now. HS goes to work and Minnie to college.

Also, will HS be expected to earn for all three of them? He didn't know of them a year ago. He obviously wouldn't have saved for a kid's higher education. Where will the money for whatever Mini wants to persue come from?

Ideally men should too.. career ko kitni importance drni hai should be an individuals choice even if it goes against the norns

In my opinion, if husband wants to stay at home, fine.. just make sure that you take care of the house like a wife would do.. ye nahi k biwi kamaye bhi or khilaye bhi.. some men aren't career oriented and that's completely fine in my opinion

As for Mini's studies, I don't know what Babita has planned for that and if she has any savings for the purpose like a fixed deposit or something.. and even if she sells her business, she can keep the money for Mini's education

Hanuman not knowing them a year ago hardly matters.. I mean isn't that how arrange marriages work?

Saroj kaha se har jagah ghus rahi hai. Iski zindagi ki problem kya hai.

2nd time in a row she has said.. dusri shadi hai. Koi galati mat karna n all that fear she is instilling in Babita. Ja yar Saroj. Dimag ka dahi. 😡

people give stupid suggestions to babita because she allows people to give such idiotic suggestion. Kk ki babita brainless hai. Waise bhi in reall life people will treat you the way you allow them. If you are strong and bold enough, people will think 10 times before giving useless suggestions.

@bold correct. He will have to figure it out. When Minnie was in the hospital, he did pay for her expenses. Whether or not Babita paid him back later doesn't matter - he shelled up the money when it was needed. Now if he wants to be her father, bearing her expenses also comes into the picture.

I have always wondered why they never talked about finances. I hope this is brought up soon.

Also, Babita mentioned that HS' work was important so why should he leave it to come look after his Chachi?

I think men and women should be able to equally prioritize their careers if they want to. One shouldn't suffer for the other.
