Precap doesn't scare me... It's ok...

@bold my favorite bit of the episode.

I also loved the way Minnie was sulking when Chachi made her sit down but then she started to relax when Chachi wanted to learn English. 🤣

You commute because your work is important to you.. work or career might be of secondary importanxe to her and that's fine.. kia karehi? Jo uska Dil chahe for once in her life😆

Nah career or no career, I wouldn’t let go of a financial stability like this. There’s no guarantee to life. Kya pata kab jarurat pad jaye.

I don’t agree to her choice. Stupid choice hai yeh. Not practical.

Happy housewife. I have seen her toil all her life. still does. Brother’s gonna have working wife so once again, Mom will be making lunch box for bahu. 😆

but damm if Babita gives up the shop. Here I commute one hour one way to reach to work. Where I work as an employee. Aur yaha inko 2 min ki duri pe khada kiya huaa Khud ka business jane dena hai. Kyu? Karna hai ghar mein. No in-laws. Daughter is 18. Husband at work. And she likes cooking. There is no rationale here to give up This financial stability. It’s impractical!

Even if she doesn't go there all the time she can at least supervise right?

Of course, I agree with others that she should be the one to decide.

See doing seva is not wrong but there are men who blames just like that if anything goes wrong.... Which is really bad...

My mom took care of my grand parents and my dad trusted her completely... But I have seen such men in our relatives who will. Blame instantly if their par nts fall sick...

See, in our family we respect elders, no matter whose parents they are but there is no concept of 'bahu has to do seva' of her in-laws. Everyone in the family does it.

Likewise, the men in my family also look after the elders in their wives' families out of respect. No compulsion.

@bold really? But isn't it the responsibility of the kids first to look after their own parents?

I am a bit confused here . Although i feel being a housewife is fine then women loose their identity but i also feel a working mom puts up a great example for her kids and also financial stability makes a women independent and empowered.

I wonder if same choice would ever be awarded to men. Be a house husband and leave your job. As the woman brings in all the money.

Is it really just her choice? Shouldn't ideally the onus fall on both partners to earn for the household?

I know a lot of things go into being a housewife. My mother is one. But I don't understand it at this point because Babes can hire help for the house. She doesn't have any kids to look after right now. HS goes to work and Minnie to college.

Also, will HS be expected to earn for all three of them? He didn't know of them a year ago. He obviously wouldn't have saved for a kid's higher education. Where will the money for whatever Mini wants to persue come from?
