Ram is lying in bed, wide awake, thinking of what just his father told him.
The words:
Death is the ultimate end to all, just as the day ends sun goes and moon takes its place similarly man takes place of his predecessors. My father was king Aj, I took his place and you ram will take my place:
Keep ringing in ram's mind. He leaves the bed, gets up and starts pacing by the window worried. Soon Sita wakes up and finds what's going on. She asks ram:
Ragunandan what is troubling your mind
Ram looks and smiles; silence
Sita: I am your wife, aryaputra I have promised to share your joys sorrows, fears and funs, please tell me what is puzzling you
Ram explains what's his confusion his, that the elders are like roofs of house, they are there that is why we feel safe, I cannot understand why some one has to leave like this and others have to take his place
Sita: it is said, when your troubled by a problem you should go to your GURU (teacher). He will solve your problem and bring Peace to your mind
Next Morning ram and Sita visit Vashistha's gurukul
First Ram shows Sita devi Nandini and tells all about her, then they both salute the happily playing ducks and finally they go to rishi Vashishtha.
As if he knows what is the question, rishi asks both Ram and janaki to sit down and he explains:
Every living being comes to this earth for a definite period of time and to do a specific duty /job. Once his deed is done he recedes. That is the law of nature. People who live forever are remembered by others, honoured and hailed for their deed. Ram you also must do something like this to live forvever.
Ram is satisfied. He got his answer.
