For her to live for herself, she needs a push. I just hope it doesn't have to come at the cost of her relationship with her mother, HS or her losing the catering business. She has been through so much, I really don't want her to go through any more yet.

Yes, I too want the Japani kushti, etc. Perhaps by doing everyday normal activities with each other they can bond. Sometimes simply spending time is enough, but they don't even do this anymore.
Remember how he made tea for her late night and then they went over to NB's climbing on to the terrace and he was impressed by her abilities, thanedaar ki beti, etc. It's ALL there, they just need to reach out to each other.
The potential for beautiful scenes is endless.

It makes absolute sense....you are bang on about this....this is why timing is so important. You can't just let things fester for so long or they start taking a life of their own inside your head...things start twisting inside your mind and you start to believe your own delusions if you suppress things that much.
I really don't want that to be the case with Mini since she's already suppressing so much inside her vis a vis Ashok....she needs to let it out.....it really has been way too long.....a whole year has passed and everything has begun and ended with how Ashok made Babita feel, how HS is a hero for marrying her Babes.....but what of YOU, child? Where are YOU in all this? Please, for once....let it out....don't hold it inside.

Once bitten, twice shy. She was never taught or hasn't learnt to have expectations from anyone or anything. She was so pleasantly surprised each time HS or Mickey has understood her.
Why do you think she attached herself so immediately to HS and NB? I'm sure she was floored by the maturity these elders were showing, having never seen anything of the sort before.
She truly has retracted into her shell now. That analogy is perfect. I hope this is shown to be a learning curve for her. There's no clear divide between sensible/responsible adults and those on the other side.
HS can falter and Babes can be trusted to make her own decisions. Minnie doesn't have to love them any less or believe in them any less for it.
Edit: also, I think what hurt Minnie the most was that he never followed up with her regarding the CD. He only trusted her once the proof was in his hand.

I felt very bad for her when she was being dismissive of her emotions for Ashok in saying that she wasn't the only one, there were many other kids with father's like hers. That may be true, but all those kids go through such emotions.
We learned recently that Mirza Sahab helped fill some of the void that HS had, especially when his grandfather was ill. Minnie has NO ONE like that among the Khuranas. It has to be HS who steps in and becomes her hero.

Yeah, I was afraid that was going to happen and it did. It would have been so much better if he'd just gone to her one day and said he had made an error in judgement and he didn't believe in that stuff. That's what HS would have normally done. Par yahan to drama ke khaatir sab bigaad diya.

You just reminded me of the camping trip HS had gone on. How keen Minnie was to accompany him. HS had promised her to take her along next time.
Will Minnie ask him if he goes again just as haq se? Will HS forward that invitation himself? This camping trip would be among the top ten moments I really want to see on this show.

It would be! She has a uni break right now and she can practice her photograph too!
There are so many things they can do on this show, but now we will get saas-bahu, pooja paath, etc. Sure those are important things in life but I don't want to see it for ages and ages.
