Thats very true that junta might not make the right decision after all but then haven't all of us been cribbing about the decisions made by even honourable music trained judges (Khaiyyam, Alka Yagnik, Jagjit Singh). I believe a lot depends on the participants' luck as well, who they are pitted gainst on a particular day, who are the judges, waht are they looking for, etc etc. However the positive side of this all is, like I have said before as well, irrespective of who wins the contest, talented singers have got a good platform and have made themselves heard to the music industry and the good ones have/ are getting great breaks.
