Since I have started to watch the challenge 2005, I have come to the conclusion that this show is not fair, and like everthing that happenns in Bollywood/India is full of politics /kissing ***
First of all thia is a all singer show, and performers are being selected above singers. Ex: Paresh over Abhijeet,Debojit, etc. I cannot beleive they are making him (by the way he is really cute I do not deny that, or hate him) compeit with well trained singers such as Abhijeet, Vinnet, Hemachandra, etc.
Second of all Rajeev who is a mediacore singer gets a green card over other guys just because Kumar Sanu felt that Rajeev "dil se gaaya" was this because Kumar Sanu felt that he would have to face the best/ and was concerned if he chose the best, his career was in a doom!
Like I said before, I do not feel anymore this show is a fair compettion. I think there is a lot of things happennigs behind the stage which influnce who gets picked rather than the the talent itself!   ;

I think that yes, so far there have been some unfair judgements, but overall the quality of singers that are remaining is quite exceptional.. My greatest fear is that now that junta will get to decide the winners in the agnipariksha round, they will be very biased by background, region, looks etc! Rajeev should not be voted because he is a coom from Chamba, or Debojit should not be voted just because he is struggling so hard in Mumbai. But yes, if someone thinks that Rajeev and Debojit are the best in terms of singing, then only vote for them.

I think getting the audience to vote at such a critical moment of the competition is only for increasing the popularity ratings and revenues from the show (all those phone and SMS charges!) and will only affect the superb quality of the show 😭

Yes that's so true, jayc1234.....this public voting thing is just plain gimmick and a way of getting more money for their show. The common public in general will perhaps care less about true playback singing abilities and qualities and rather be biased on looks, religion, and region. That's very sad indeed. But I do hope that the junta will prove me wrong and vote for the best.

Sorry to say sindoorfan but junta will again prove you right. How many junta really have a good knowledge of Music. I know what will happen. If someone is from say Delhi all Delhi waala's are going to vote for him. So anyone who is from a place where the number of mobile phone users/phone users are less will get kicked out for sure.

The best thing would have been to get the judgement done by people who have the real knowledge of music. Just like they were doing by bringing in judges from classical music or senior music directors.

And rat718 I agree with you on the Kumar Sanu point. That decision was maybe a bit wrong. But those things happens once in a while. Most of the decision were good ones. One or two may have looked bad to many.... but all in all I feel the decisions are quite fair...

I completly agree with you. I think more than a musical mahayudh, it will be a regional mahayudh.. and i know a lot of people have their favorites based on looks as opposed to singing... I like Paresh's singing.. But some people are just completly nuts over him.. I think if he is in the final 12, people will favor him because of his looks... Just my thoughts...

Come on guys, believe in the diversity in INDIA. More than regionalism or religion factor, people will be biased towards glamour, glamour could cast an ugly shadow on the public poll.

Look at FG, Rex was a much better singer, but the public voting continued to flatter Qazi despite his mediocre singing. Also Look at the polls in this forum, best looking male/female singer, best dancer on stage are driving more page views than polls on singing abilities or songs.

i think this voting is not going to make a very fair decision.i think bcoz of this emotional and sensitive issues rajeev will go much further though there r very good and trained singers like hemachandra and debojit than him.

I agree. For all we know Rajeev could perform better than (i.e. rule the SUR) before and surprise us. We will have to wait and see.
