I didn't even know this was a big thing for North Indians. I always assumed it was a Hindu tradition.

Na na. It's nil here. Marathis follow it though.

But Gujjus have such different set of fasts and stuff. It's whole lot of different things. We fast whilst gorging on food. Basically we can't stay without food lol.

It origins from North India. Mainly northies keep the vrat. But as I said, it’s getting a trend in other parts too, thanks to ITV.

LOLL, this reminds me, when I was younger I used to keep the Navratri fasts and my dad had to buy all the different types of atta, potatoes and fruits and stuff. And he was like, this is the first fast that I've seen where you eat more food than normal. 🤣
