But Gujjus have such different set of fasts and stuff. It's whole lot of different things. We fast whilst gorging on food. Basically we can't stay without food lol.

We have Farsan and Sweet shops running full on Shivratri and other fasting days.
You know some places have Farali Pizzas too. 🤣 Gujjus can make anything farali.
For the unknowns, Farali is fast ka khana. 😆 Yes we have a special name for it.

well ive heard some gujjus keep a only water fast or only fruit and milk fast during navratri.

Oh yeah. Navratri fasts are the toughest. You've heard it right.
But with us it's more like you can select your level of fast. Like if I can't stay only on water then add fruits milk. Usmein bhi if you can't do then eat fast ka food. So it's easy that way.
But some people do strict fasting.
