Uh oh, was this too good to last? Or has there been trouble in paradise? Whatever, the sad truth and bottom line is that the sweet and tender romance between hot and happening Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aryan is officially over. We regret to tell you that Bollywood’s most adorable couple of recent times have called time on their relationship and have now split. They are no more together.
Of course, there’s nasty goss floating around on what went wrong between the young actors of Imtiaz Ali’s untitled romance that’s being called Love Aaj Kal 2 because it’s said to be a sequel of his 2009 romcom Love Aaj Kal starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.
Like, some people are saying that Sara dumped Kartik because she found her ardent young co-star suddenly becoming overbearing and over possessive about her. But we are not getting into that. Nor are we going to fool you by saying Sara and Kartik have decided to take a temporary break from each other. It’s over between them. Sad but true.

We kind of feared this might happen and hoped it wouldn’t because Kartik was given to taking their romance public and was known to blow it out of proportion in the Bollywood press and on social media. Nobody wanted to take bets on how long they would last because of this. Which we found strange because it was Sara, on Koffee with Karan, who had said she had wanted to date Kartik after he had done Luka Chuppi and become Bollywood’s new heartthrob.
Perhaps it was this confession by Saif Ali Khan’s gorgeous but imperious girl that made Imtiaz think Sara and Kartik would make an exciting jodi in his sequel. The actors are believed to have began their romance and started dating publicly soon after the film went on the floor. They fuelled people’s imaginations with cute posts and pictures on social media of each other. Now you won’t be seeing any more of that. And the embers of their love will only be seen when Imtiaz’s film hits the screens in 2020.
