What went so wrong with Mohenjo Daro?

I know the budget was huge because of which it failed so badly at the box-office plus it had only around 2500 screens because of the clash with Rustom but what exactly did you find wrong with the film per se, for those who have watched? Hrithik bias aside, I personally didn't find the film half as bad as people made it out to be. What do you think didn't appeal to the audience?

Yes, that would be a valid reason. The 2nd half where they were fleeing from the city did feel too long.

Plus Ashutosh is known to make 3h+ movies.

Yeah and nobody from the industry showed any support for the film, it was shocking

Agreed about Tu Hai, it's a lovely song <3 The whole album is so underrated imo :( I loved The Shimmer of Sindhu and Lakh Lakh Thoda too

The flying crocodile in the first promo killed it. Plus in a post Baahubali world the bar for a period adventure film was much higher. I did find the sudden love the industry had for Akki/Rustom curious though.

I liked it, but I’m probably biased because I like all Ashutosh Gowariker films. He’s soulful, can tell by his direction style.
