Just wanted to quickly say thank you for keeping this forum alive. I don't get much time to come online but it's good to see the updates when possible. It's much easier to see the updates here than wade through the fan wars on Twitter. Thanks again!

Thanks Zana.. i do it for my satisfaction....Shivika is and always will be the best for me....I am done with ITV...dont have much time or patience for the sub standard content these days...i am more into web series and english shows where contents and characters and story telling atleast makes sense to some extent...not that IB had some thing great...but they had good characters well etched in the beginning..i fell for characters and not actors initially.... though along the way i became fan of Narbhi chemistry...but i understood that content is always king no matter who the actors are...
About fan wars...sigh...what can i say! Gosh everyday new drama...if i dont see anything after waking up then i am surprised how come fans sleep peacefully without mud slinging each other...😆anyways actors are working on shows and getting paid handsomely while fans are ready to slit each others throats just to prove that their fav is superior to every other actor...all FDs have such crazy ppl no doubt and i am not here talking about one single FD..i realised every fandom is same...every fan thinks that their fav is the best among the available lot including me..
The only thing that pissed me off lately is some fans who have fangirled Shivaay and Shivika for 3 years are now trashing Shivaay saying he is MCP who always got blackmailed and hurt Annika that too to just elevate the ML character who is now playing opposite their fav....i have no problem if current roles of faves and their leads have better roles than Shivika... its their pov...but then why degrade a character that you have fangirled for 3 years now? Are they lying now or lying then? I came to conclusion that such fans never cared for characters...its always actors...Shivaay was good as along as Annika is played by their fav and show was on air...Anyways i stopped going to insta in search of Shivika bcoz ppl always tag Shivika in the new clips and when i watch them i cannot help but comment on poor characterization and execution and then you are hater and are trying to degrade the actor..
character != Actor is a simple maths which fans fail to understand...

Agree to the power of tiffany! ITV is at such a low at the moment because of the naagins and the daayans that even badly written and poorly characterised shows are coming across as Emmy award winners! It's evident that we are not the only ones turning our backs on ITV (or at least in the UK). I saw some recent viewing figures (UK) and even the top 5 shows are no longer registering good numbers and the continued obsession with YHM is completely perplexing!!!
Yep got to see the indirects to Shivaay and Shivika when I made a visit to twit land recently so came off it pretty quick sharpe! I remember watching a show in my late teens which had a really popular jodi and recently revisited it. Honestly I realise now it was poorly written but at the time I was high on the romance and chemistry. The show still brings back happy memories but I can most definitely see it's faults now but it has taken me a number of years to outgrow it. IB has not been gone a whole year yet some of the old fans are already picking it to pieces to elevate their new favourites. Whilst no doubt the show had its faults but OG Shivika stood on solid and stable ground. Shivika (and it's fandom) grew organically and it took time to find its footing. Nothing forced or rushed to pick up new fans. They earnt their awards, trends and hashtags unlike a certain new show that has had everything handed on a plate and i believe IB will stand the test of time. There's no issue with watching new shows and falling in love with them even more than previous ones but degrading the one you were obsessed with only a few months ago makes everything appear so fake.
Hoping NM stays well away from ITV. After the debacle of DIB anything he touches will have vultures circling to rip him to pieces. A web series would be good and would love to see him in a negative role. If he does return to ITV I would prefer to see him on Sony rather than Star plus but his long standing relationship with Star could see his return on this TRP hungry channel. Lets see what awaits us.....

@bold 1....agree... but I feel problem is not naagins and dayaans in shows...the problem is the way they are handled...you need to be able to create a universe where you can accept these stories...the story telling has to be apt and convincing....that is what is lacking in these shows.....writers dont have a broad idea on what or how they want to show in long run...as the show progresses they use the same tracks for trp whether they make sense or not.....yes bcoz of this content of naagins, dayaans and now gins 😆...which ever are not these supernatural genre are like considered best shows however poor the story telling is or even with poorly written characters..
@blue...yes I saw UK rating tweets and I still see YHM, Kulfi ruling charts....I guess its the same as ITV audience where ppl just watch shows out of habit more than content....only difference is in UK you get daily ratings where as in India you get for week...digital audience watch shows online and at their time not necessarily on TV....
@bold 2: Agree to this too....Shivika fandom grew along with Shivika on screen organically....I think most of the fans were not Shivika fans from day 1 unlike these new shows where the fans start shipping the lead couple on screen no matter what the characters are and what the story telling is..and I think it has most to do with the actors fans in huge number on SM....most of the actors fans become the on screen couple fans...like Anu prem from KZK, Zoya Aditya from BP, Bajaj - Prerna from KZK and the list goes on....
@red..I also expect NM to be part of web series and short films and not ITV pls...DIB is the biggest disaster for him especially bcoz Shivaay is such an nicely etched character with proper progression and growth and Shivaansh is exactly the opposite...in a bid to make Shivaansh not like Shivaay writers messed up everything...I remember once I made a post on why NM shouldn't continue the show with leap on this post as fans started hating and cursing him...and I remember AY's comments then who predicted exactly how this is going to end...nothing ever worked his way from the time leap began..starting with writing to execution to story to acting...he did trust the writers way too much...how i wish he had opted out of the show..sigh ! but you know it does happen with every actor...not every show will be successful.....I also wish SC to do web series only and not ITV shows bcoz eventually all shows turn the same in the name of trp....she is very talented and web series focus on content and characters rather than the usual trp troupes...
I just finished watching MOM by alt balaji and i must says the writers did such a nice job bringing the balance between showing the events of ISRO mission to MARS with some drama that would keep you engaged...i understand the writers taking creative liberties to keep audience hooked but then the whole thing should not come off as non sensical and illogical....
