Why always the expectation from / hatred towards female characters? - Page 3

The show is still primarily of prerna journey right . She is the main protagonist. And in dian telly, women are the main driver. Why expectation will not be there.

Prerna cld have been todays woman. But she is not. Studies kaa atta pataa nahi. Pyaar pyaar pyaar yaa shaadi shaadi shaadi. Bas yehi motto hai life kaa kyaa.

Ab chalo mein ye bhi maan lets hoon usko career aur padaa mein interest nahi hai. Theek hai there are many women who will be housewife. . I have utmost respect for them .

But is she managing her role well. I doubt. Sl

She talks and talks of how she cant stand against wrong esp when it concerns Bajaj . Yer for her soulmate she turns a blind eye for all her gande work. Cos he is in pain and majboor. How hypocrite is this. Just say that you are biased for ur soulmate . I wld respect an honest person with some bad traits rather than a hypocrite.

She still hides abt the baby to anurag. Anurag mujhe bilkul pasand nahi but here I shall agree he deserve to know abt baby .

Her character is written so poorly that instead of having any sympathy, ppl r getting frustrated.

The reason for low trps are not baja or anurag. It is prerna . The main FL this season is so poorly written that audience are done with it.

Why to bring anurag or bajaj into the picture?

Isn't this thread is only about prerna.?

Before this week, if I'm not wrong I came across so many posts where ap fans themselves don't want prerna to get back to Anurag anymore.

They also said prerna truly never loved anurag.

Or opinion changed on her after this week.

Good if it has changed. I have no issues.

But she is still kept the secret of being pregnant with her soulmate.

This post is about why expectations from female lead is more or why so frustration

In current era Prerna is the worst sketched Female lead

1. She lacks self respect and confidence

2. She forgets her whole family and never worries for their respect only thing she cares about is Basus who insults her and her family in every turn of life

3. She just talks about values and principles but never follows them

4. She can’t take a stern decision and live with it.

5. Never fights back, always find a easy way out whether it was marriage with Naveen or deal with Mr.Bajaj

6. She failed as daughter, girl friend, wife and mother too.

7. Who is Prerna and what’s her identity? Either Mrs.Bajaj or Mrs. Basu? Why can’t she tries to make her identity, she was shown capable but all she does is 😭😭

All we want to be herself, strong, smart and bold.

I know there is lot of misconceptions that Mr.Bajaj and PreRish fans are frustrated as they are uniting AnuPre

First of all, AnuPre lacks respect and trust. love without respect it’s of no use.

No one would have against Prerna if she shows her anger to the injustice happened to her by Mr.Bajaj. She is so confused. No need to accept the marriage or need to pretend. Be strong and take a stern decision.

So many lies, lives in a web of lies.

No guts to face anything and fight for respect and family.

In ITV shows Female lead are known for their goodness, smartness in whatever they do and know, self respect and confidence. Strong and fight back attitude, bravery and commitment. Individuality, love, care and concern. Prerna has none of them.

Female leads are the face for the show and their character defines the show.

See in those times also the portrayal of male and female characters was almost same as the TM mentioned and today also it's same but audience reaction is different from the past like today atleast we are questioning the way why it is ? Why only male is redeemed ? Women don't deserve redemption ?

In the old movies when a rape happens it's like everything is over .... She is not fit for any man so she is worthless so the woman follows the rapist and demands a marriage and falls in love with him. It is portrayed as true love. But today's times nobody is going to accept such shit.

Propably people used to think and their minds were not open to thinking what's right and wrong. Today there is social media and every small thing is being discussed.

Similarly in case of prerna bajaj nobody would make a big deal about it and since they had s great chemistry so ship them. It's like she accepted the deal now live with it. Today the deal is unacceptable to us except a certain section of fans.

I think the hatred for female characters comes from wish fulfilment. They don't identify with the female character, they just see her as a blank canvas and insert themselves into the story as her to enjoy a romance with a male of their choice. When she doesn't do what they'd like her to do, they get frustrated with her and bash her.

That's what it seems like to me.

As for Kasauti, while I have no problems with grey characters and their romance with someone good (e.g. Catwoman with Batman), in Kasauti the villains are proper black. Too dark to be paired with the leads.

I wouldn't ship Komolika and Anurag simply because of the fact that she tried to kill his dad, killed the father of the woman he loves and tried to kill the said woman in front of everyone.

I wouldn't ship Bajaj with Prerna because he's sinister, extremely selfish and a very very sick soul who loves playing mind games. Probably got some people assassinated too.

Bold-I do agree with this psychology some what. Especially in love triangles.Also the writers because they want to drag the love triangle for as long as possible and want to make both the fandoms' happy will make the female character have some sort of feeling for both male character's and hence the female character in the center of the love triangle gets maximum hate and seems confused.

Male characters in center of such a love triangle escape this as well. Because male characters will only have feelings for the goody two shoes female character and the other female character will always be a vamp.

See i respect your POV because you do't have different standards for greyish or villianish male or female character. You have the same standard for Komolika as you have for Bajaj. But that is not the case with many any others. While Komo will be hated forever for separating Anurag and Prena , Rishab will be instantly forgiven.

What is even more unacceptable to me is the viewers wanting Prena to forgive and just fall in love with the man who has wronged her and forget about her lover.😆. I am wondering how much things have really changed. Like you said about falling in love with your rapist, things are not that bad these days but why are forced marriages not considered a big deal.I know in Hindi serials almost all stories have forced marriages.Its like no one marries out of love everyone is forced to marry so its become a norm.😆. We don't think of it as a big deal. But it is a big deal. In real life it will be horrible if it happens to some one. I mean for Prena to even have some sort of respect for Bajaj who forced her into this marriage is a bit too much but like i said its Hindi serial and wife can't hate her husband so i know its going to happen. But now expecting Prena to forgive the man who has wronged her and just fall in love with him without expecting anything from the said man like work towards her love or forgiveness or just give her her happiness, is well the same old thing. Expect women to do everything and men to get away with everything.
