You are absolutely right. If someone wants to stay "untouched" until they find true love, that's absolutely fine. It's a choice. But to force it on someone or expect it from another, is unfair. It's like blaming a person for cheating even before you knew them. And this applies to both, men and women. Why should the rules be different for either? Is it because men have no "barriers" to break 😋

With that said, I do not support infidelity. That is a unpardonable offence in my book. But virginity should not be misunderstood for love or loyalty.

Oh you make perfect sense and for once, we agree whole-heartedly.

Why should men be given a benefit of doubt? Yes, biologically women are different, but that doesnt mean that men have a license to try out different wines in different bottles.

But like P mentioned, I guess in some societies the stereotypical still exists. Women will always be the weaker sex, and men, the stronger one.

And wrt Withered, if instead of Arnav, Khushi had a colourful past, then readers may have had issues with it. Not that they dont have with Arnav, but men, mostly go scot free.

Btw, what do you think about Arnav and Khushi from the show? Imo, Khushi was far more accepting and open-minded than ASR. 'ducks'

That is why Liz taylor's multple marriages became a talk of the town, but no one talks about Martin Scorsese or Larry King or other men who married multiple times in the same era.

In a changed society, men and women are equal. We should not measure chastity with love or expect the girl to remain virgin until she gets married. There are no such rules or laws. It is up to the individual.

Individual choice is what should take precedence over everything else.

I chose Withered simply based on the fact that I could not see how Khushi felt in Wedded II's prologue. But Wedded 1, also, didnt have any POV from Khushi and the team wanted it to be the same for Wedded II, as well.

I get it. Dont worry, you havent forgotten anything, as far as I can see it.

Arnav is a complicated character here, he is way more complex than he comes across as, unlike Khushi. How he will react and why, will depend on Khushi and Khushi alone

I have always been vocal about the fact that I loved Arnav in Wedded and the story will always be close to my heart.

And it will remain so, even after decades and decades, when Wedded becomes an old is gold. 😆

But that doesnt mean I love other stories any less. Arnav here is winning my heart ❤️
