She is like a cow who needs to be pushed always. When Mohini babbled the only option she found was to marry Mohini's bro buddha Navin Babu. She was so annoyingly irritating at that time. When she finds out her husband did the accident, she confronts him, later accepts his explanation that it was an accident but warns him that he needs to face the wrath of the Badu family. When Anurag is at the brink of death, she makes it clear to her husband that she married him only for anurag and now that very same anurag needs her and she goes to him.

2) when Anurag blames Bajaj for intentionally killing him, she believes anurag immediately. Did that turn out to be wrong? Yes. But was she wrong? Most definitely not! Here was the guy she loves and trusts beyond all others. On the other hand was her husband, a man she knows very little about except that he's a good father and who got married to her under coercive circumstances to say the least. Whom would she believe? Whom would any woman believe?

3) when she comes to know Bajaj is innocent she confronts anurag and immediately goes to Bajaj, apologizes and brings him home. Was that not a proof of her loyalty? If she was not just and loyal, she could've sided with anurag and used this situation to her benefit. Maybe tried to make a deal with Bajaj, divorce in exchange for his freedom. But she didn't.

4) and now she is making it clear to Bajaj that although she knows anurag is wrong, sh can never go against him. We need to wit till Monday to know what reason she gives. She may say that his mother and father cannot face that so she wants to save them the pain. In any case going against anurag beyond a point is not possible for her. But isn't it a little too much to expect that from her? He is her one true love after all. He is the man for whose well being she has sacrificed her entire life. By taking a step back from getting him punished, she is staying true to her character which is that she will always place anurag above everything and everyone else, including herself.

Is that hypocritical in the face of her rants about always supporting the truth? Yes, a little. But among all the unjust and hypocritical characters that exist on this show, this is the least hypocritical act of them all..

The two main flaws; she didn't reveal her pregnancy to Anurag and she has not revealed the reason for her marriage with Bajaj. Hiding these two main things is the root cause of all the problems .She has never at once been shown regretting the problem could be because of this non revelation and still after so much of confusion continuing to hide these two things

She fears something bad can happen to Anurag and her family if she reveals things but already things are turning out bad so why not understand or atleast attempt things differently by revealing the truth. Anyway Bajaj is ready to do anything for her.

Root cause is Prerna so she is the one to be blamed.

Egg jactly!! I have so many issues with her, I keep making spoof of her ping-pong, but Right now, She is the only one who is NOT wrong, unlike both the heroes.

Now there isn't even white and black hero. Both are grey now.

One believes in manipulating a pregnant woman into a marraige just for his own selfish goal of providing mother to his child ,

And the other , shamelessly runs behind a married woman, despite her constantly saying to stay away and not stalk her. He had the audacity to even slapped her once. And ab toh criminal conspiracy and plotting bhi👏

Wonderfully written piece especially about prerna. I fully agree with each and every point of it.

She is loyal to bajaj and there is no doubt about it.

In the first place Ekta and her writers need Behavior therapy. Its due since 20 years. Her characters are highly inconsistent and then she says my TV audience needs such type of personalities

Let us connect reel to real. If any female had to face such situation, let's bring some family dispute or two warring business families want to call truce and the bride is made a scapegoat. Even if there was no one in her life, the institution of marriage is forced on her, How can she be a normal wedded happy go lucky bride.

Here, mohini sends Prerna to a business shark instead of her daughter and being a goddess whose virtue is sacrifice, she accepts everything what Bajaj offers.

Her only respite is the man has not forced or at any point of time been physical with here. Prerna knows that irrespective of the fact that she blamed him without thinking. Another aspect is all members of the Bajaj family do not treat her like a doormat. RB cannot digest the fact that she allows mohini and nivi to mentally torture her and hence this dialogue about self respect.

Prerna knows that Bajaj handles her with care but its human to snap at those who are good to u and many so that. When you are frustrated and reach a dead end, the person who is most attentive is always at the receiving end.

The same can be applied to Bajaj, when he knew about Anurag wandering on the road, at what speed was he driving that Anu almost lost his life. A person comes in front of your car, goes flying 10 feet above the ground and lands up in a pool of blood. Bajaj does not even come out thinking that its a trap and maybe Onu is slightly hurt. if at all he wanted to prevent the accident, he could have stopped the car at a distance, no he decides to increase the speed as he cannot tolerate him.

in such circumstances Prerna"s first priority is Anurag's safety. She cannot follow the loyalty mantra. Her duties as a wife started after Bajaj promised that Anurag won't be harmed. But if Basus and Bajaj live under the same roof and hurt each other, Pre had no option but to be ground between both.

Her heart still belongs to Anu and loyalty ( this word is applicable to pets and not humans), rather commitment can be tested or tried if Bajaj goes from Basu Bari.

These days everyone around her are behaving as is she is their favorite punch bag. Bajaj also lost his cool when kukki was unconscious.

How can a person behave normally when your ex and current are thrown right in front of your face.

These Characters are make-belief... The viewers need therapy after the stuff they show us! I feel seriously bad for Anurag and I can't digest Bajaj's love for Pre.

Pre is just an exhausting character - its draining the amount of baggage she carries. unfortunately her baggage is fully displayed, while anurag and Bajaj carry theirs with aplomb and have others to discuss stuff with (anupam and Mehra respectively). Pre has a Martyr Complex (Most difficult people to live with and love) and that is just plain exhausting to normal people. Her hiding many truths from Anurag is wrong but its her life and she made her bed, she'll have to lie in it. She is in a horrible situation where she is ground between her duty/loyalty to bajaj and her love for anurag. She snaps at bajaj who is attentive to her because we usually hurt the people who are soft towards us and not infront of those who make us put our guard up (Like when she's infront of mohini). She is constantly on the defense and goes on the offense only with Bajaj. She needs someone she can unburden in front of - she wont do it with Bajajs, Basus or Sharmas... She needs a professional but then the men on her life will come and stand outside to tape her and then manipulate her. Its a sad situation for her.

Anurag crossed the line with self-harm. In the real world, handling the stalking behaviour and his feelings can be managed with the help of a good friend and also therapy sessions. Anupam is an enabler, he believes and helps anurag in all his endeavors without any thought to the consequences. I'm not getting into the thornbird and soulmate stuff because that's another load of BS that's stopping him from moving on - he needs a less toxic environment and better people to surround him. He's thoroughly smothered and needs to breathe.

Bajaj is a grey character and he makes no bones about it. He is absolutely adorbs when it comes to his family and is the black knight when it comes to the outside world. His feelings for Pre have been bought on too fast - he's like his daughter.. falls for a stranger in 3 meetings... There are many layers going on there. He does wrong and leaves no evidence behind, but when he's innocent he has a buttload of evidence to bury his enemies. He's holding back because of Pre... He's losing his grey and getting whitewashed. his actions will always be bashed as they are amoral, insensitive and cruel but what is driving me nuts is his falling in love with Pre. He needs therapy to get over his love/affection-starvedness so that he doesn't get anymore entangled by the lady with the Martyr complex.

Plus all tracks drag in this show. We are not the KZK1 generation - with netflix we want our gratification fast and we're used to smaller seasons... this is a dragfest. There will be no therapy, closure or happy ending - there is more angst, confusion and pure torture coming!

I have gone through some very dark times and it has taken intense self-analysis to make me come out of it. I didn't have the option of Professional help, unfortunately. But I have come out on the otherside. Music helped, Books did too, but mostly it was cutting out people who were causing the harm and then analyzing the situation, knowing what feelings to cut out and what wounds to heal. I stand on my own two feet, pay my own bills and don't take prisoners. I'm a grey character too and I own it like a boss.

I have different perspective about the bolded part but the rest is bang on.

LOVE this post. I really don't understand when Anupre fans sometimes makes out Bajaj to be even better than Pre.

Pre can be called out for a lot of things with regards to Anupre since her marriage with Bajaj like the pregnancy secret and her attitude and disregard for Anu's suffering and living in his home, his room and such stuff, but she can't be called out for her actions with regards to Bajaj IMPOV.

Loyalty was also not part of the deal at all. Bajaj never even demanded loyalty from her. The only thing he demanded even if after the marriage was that she be a mother to Kuki. She is full filling that. And she IS being loyal because even when she did say she will give loyalty to Bajaj she specifically said her body and soul belong to Anu and will remain so. Her showing concern for Anu is not being disloyal to Bajaj either.

Bajaj deserves ghanta from Pre. She owes him NOTHING apart from what he demanded..being a mother to Kuki. EVERYTHING ELSE is hers to give AND take back if she deems it fit.

@Bold: Its just that she did demand that Bajaj do not hurt Anu in any way when she agreed to marry Bajaj and at that time Bajaj clearly told her he increased speed when he saw Anu because he was mad which is why Anu got hit hard and it turned into life threatening situation for Anu.

So obviously Bajaj did hurt Anu and the deal should have been off. But she just accepted his part in the accident and went in his support to meet the Basus. Again when Anu accused Bajaj of trying to harm him and she believed him should have been the time for her call the deal marriage off because that was her demand and Bajaj not harm Anu in anyway. But then again I accept that Cvs are not yet ready to end this deal so its expected inconsistencies would be there to accommodate that.

I mean even this could have been better accommodated with an appropriate response with Pre calling off the marriage and at that instance Bajaj showing the recording he has of Anu planning this accident so the marriage would still be on. But CVs chose to show Bajaj being heartbroken over Pre's lack of trust in him and spend time in jail to show audience how much he regards Pre. They chose to show Bajaj's side more than being true to Pre's character.
