As an actress it might not have been the best idea on her part to sign up to play a female lead that revolves around a woman marrying out of love for the 2nd time. It’s a bit ironic her being the lead of a show showing women’s emancipation but finding Hugging a man as “too intimate” 🤦‍♀️

@Bold... I was afraid to say this but that's exactly what I was wondering too.

What interview is this? Also there was an article where she said no intimate scenes so I won’t be surprised if she has this clause in her contract. If it is then that's highly unprofessional.

Edit: Also looking at how the scene was played today, it’s possible that it’s because of Paridhi they are not showing any romantic or intimate scenes.

I wouldn't call that unprofessional. It's her choice and if she has that in her contract then it's her agreement with the PH. Totally her call.

I think my concern is more with the PH casting someone with so many reservations for a role like this, that too when they are talking about women's desires. But whether or not she has issues with hugs, it's really up to her and the PH to sort out.

Baaki humein jo milein wohi dekh lenge. This show is still better than anything else out there, thoda sacrifice hum bhi kar lenge.

the word is bezaar. and it means someone getting sick of another person. becoming apathetic towards them.

It’s ridiculous if u ask me. She’s chosen a career in acting and now chosen a role where she’s meant to portray someone in love. No ones asking to do sex scenes, surely she can portray someone in love in a way thats not indecent? Seems like she’s making a mountain out of molehill to me

Also didn’t ashok say that gifts and stuff he bought for her was only the same stuff he bought for his mother and sister? Where’s this “taking care and loved her a lot” coming from? From the start they’ve said ashok left quite soon after the wedding and barely visited, and when he did visit, he kind of ignored babita. They even did an episode of a flashback once showing him play with mini but ignoring babita.

The writers seem to change things very often. It’s almost like they’ve forgotten the messages they send out at the start

the scene where Ashok returns and Mini is a child is after Ashok hands over divorce papers and there’s a song sequence where Babita remembers their time together. When he comes he meets Mini and he even playfully throws water at Babita.

I don’t think there ever was an explicit dialogue saying that Ashok ignored Babita in first 7 years of their relationship. At least I don’t remember so and I have watched many of the episodes twice.

Yeah its her choice, but as simple as a hug is not considered under portraying intimate scenes. Going by how today's scene was played out, and her interview on not doing any intimate scenes tells me its her reservations, and not the writers.

@bold: I agree with this. They should have discussed properly with the actors before signing them. Now, that the couple Hanita are getting more popular, they are gonna face lots of criticism if they continue with this implied intimacy 🤔.

Also, I think its unfair to Aniruddh who could have had great opportunity to explore this genre.

Exactly. Lol none's asking her to do lip locks and bold scenes. Honestly what you see on ITV cant even be considered a fraction of "intimate/love" scenes you see somewhere else 😆. If these actors think what ITV shows are "bold" scenes, they should watch GOT 😆

In this age of digital and other mediums, she's sure to loose on projects if she has this reservations, but thats her call I guess. Its unfair for the co-actor though.

I don’t think Paridhi has specifically said she has issue with onscreen hugs.

Everyone is speculating based on her intimacy interview.

Thanks.

The intimacy interview and after today's scene, I think we all are speculating it correctly tbh 😆

It’s still a speculation. And there’s no concrete proof that she has denied for basic scenes like hugs.

Also, in past episodes they have had hand holding. Babes falling and HS holding her. So I don’t think she would suddenly have reservations for as simple as hug.

If PH or someone comes out and say it explicitly that it’s Paridhi then I would believe that. Until then at least I don’t go by popular opinion that it’s her reservation which is the reason for implied intimacy.

There are so many ways to show intimacy aside from kissing

Hand holding, putting his hand on her back, eye locks, Babes putting her head on his shoulder, HS drying Babes hair gently with a towel (and vice versa), HS bringing jewelry/something for Babes and putting it on her etc

I don't know if it's Paridhi that has issues but if that's the case, then actresses shouldn't take on such roles...viewers do want to see some romance between a couple

I wonder if maybe after the pottery scene Paridhi received feedback from her family members..maybe they didn't like it?
