Yes a lot of people questioned Aamir

They did.

However, they wouldn't question you "much" if you had done better. Might as well release on Halloween day to save the embarrassment.

Bad makeup - aged face, yng hands (no wrinkles), body language and accent of a Halloween participant.

Dadis definitely deserved better. Plenty of 50-60 yos around to do a great job.

I question Aamir, Salman, and SRK when they act like youth and romance women half their age. I question Hrithik's brownface in Super 30. I question Priyanka's casting in Mary Kom. I believe in authenticity in roles. We have a wide pool of choices to play characters of varying demographics. Why not utilize the talent pool instead of using makeup and prosthetics. So I will question Saandh Ki Ankh too.

In defense of Tapsee though, historically Bollywood men have had prolonged careers. They all act well into their fifties and portray youthful characters. Despite us questioning them or making fun of them, these roles do get accepted overall. These movies become hits. So what is wrong with a woman playing an older part? That is why if the movie is good I will appreciate its good aspects and wish it to be a hit.

On the flip side, it is problematic on two counts. Firstly it takes away good female roles for older women when there is a dearth of them. It also perpetuates the notion that men are aged down but women can only be aged up.

they are not the director or producer

They are actors and obviously they will defend.

Please question the real people responsible for this.

I feel bad for the two women this movie is based on.

It would have been one of the best films if age appropriate actresses were casted.

What is the damn woman on.....The Khans have always been mocked for not playing age appropriate roles
