The only grey area in Ram's character is the Agnipareeksha which is well documented..And even criticized.

As per my interpretation Agnipareeksha happened coz Ram had complete trust on Sita and this was his way of shutting up people speaking against her for good..

As for intolerance..Ram is God. No religion would tolerate anything mocking or insulting their God. We all know what happened due to the Danish cartoons.

India is tolerant enough to know that Ram and Krishna were avatars and lived as humans with human characteristics.

I do hope he is misquoted coz half knowledge is dangerous than ignorance.

No religion tolerates mocking, distortion and insults but Hinduism is expected to.

Ramayan is based on Ram being Purushottam viewing that with present day myopic lenses and distorting it is wrong. Masala add karna hain grey shades add karni hain creative and artistic liberty ka naam deke then make a fiction why insist on making Ramayan and distort it?

Well,your 'baap' didn't make it, or create it. So naah,kisike baap ka nahin hain religion. Humans before us made it,and any and every human will always get to interpret it as they want to.

Again,you don't get to decide any of that 😆Unless you have some legal trademark on Ramayana lol. But just like they can interpret it, You have the freedom to protest ' Please save my Ramayana from being different from what I want'. It works both ways. The beauty of a free(let's pretend) country.

Same way no one gets to distort it unless they have some legal standing to do so. Why insist on making a distorted Ramayana unless want to hurt sentiments and enrage people for whom it is a matter of faith?
