Ram never did anything with wicked or underhand intent, like Krishna or Vishnu and that is what seperates grey from goody boys. His equation with Sita and all that follows, he has been criticized since ages, rightfully but it was never grey. It was more like him demanding same level of sacrifice and uprightness from Sita, that he put himself on.

Since you quoted me, Ram is a grey character. period. What's the moral uprightness in a guy banishing his pregnant wife (who also spent 13 years in exile with him, kept giving numerous tests of her character) on a baseless rumor only to accept his sons in the end? Where's the good intention ? That was a very bad, unjust treatment of his wife. He was worried more about his reputation than her well-being. He could have cared less if she died along the way. He also tarnished her good reputation by doing so. In truth, he didn't deserve to have a moral and upright wife as Sita. No wonder she left him in the end.

Am surprised Hrithik too referred to the grey shades in Ram as a mythological character.

People judging Lord Ram's actions based on their knowledge in 2020...nice!

Is it always necessary to drag other religion by irrelevant means and with untrue facts to defend or criticize your own religion? As an extremely intolerant Muslim, I take offence to few comments here.

OT: I haven't read Ramayna but my mother used to narrate me Ram and Sita's love story quite often. Grey means mixture of evil and good. There's a difference between being evil and over-controlled. Ram was highly principled as far as I know and there are many examples of characters in real and reel, that are heavily driven by high principle values and tend to behave rudely and harshly just to keep their pride of high morality intact and end up pushing away their loved ones.

He made grave mistakes and showed unfair behaviour but calling him grey is a bit far-stretched imo.

Some having issue with intolerant attitude are themselves intolerant at others faith and beliefs! ... Doesn't get anymore funnier than this! .. 😆

Hindu extremists these days remind me of those extreme muslims, sadly they don't realize it and act as if they are normal

I didn't know there were so many religious people here.

Hrithik should stay away from this, this will be too controversial
