it was a comedy movie, wasn't supposed to be logical or deep at all. I thought it was funny, not a top tier comedy like Hera pheri & andaz apna apna but still a solid movie. Just because it was a flop doesn't mean it's automatically bad. There are plenty of bad SRK movies from the 90's like Chahat, Zamana Deewana etc. but this isn't one of them imho

never saw a list or something claiming that Badshah was one of SRK's finest or better movies..so if u like it, its ur opinion !

I don't think it's one of his finest either..but its also not one of his worst. I would put it in the middle

This was one of his best performances...n a really good movie too...amazing comic timing ❤️

It was a silly but very entertaining movie...whoever said that it was a great movie? Nobody..

Baadshah was hilarious, surprisingly it flopped.

The promos and Baadshah title people thought it was out and out action movie. But if they really promoted as comedy movie then I think it could’ve done better 😭😳

So true...a lot of movies do flop because they are promoted in the wrong genre and people go to watch it with different expectations...Talassh, Zero are examples.

Zero would have flopped either way imho..it's just too messy and OTT. It could only work if the whole ridiculous NASA/mars plot was removed and the more grounded fun style of the first half was maintained.

Still don't get what ALR & SRK were thinking with that movie, they delivered SRK's most OTT romance movie by far in a time where more grounded movies are appreciated.

I don’t know about that but I remember a contestant on KBC once told SRK that he wasn’t really a fan of his movies but thoroughly enjoyed Baadshah. SRK replied that many people who don’t usually like his movies tell him they enjoyed Baadshah, so he was surprised when it flopped.
