it was a comedy movie, wasn't supposed to be logical or deep at all. I thought it was funny, not a top tier comedy like Hera pheri & andaz apna apna but still a solid movie. Just because it was a flop doesn't mean it's automatically bad. There are plenty of bad SRK movies from the 90's like Chahat, Zamana Deewana etc. but this isn't one of them imho

I absolutely loved Badshash and Phir bhi dil hai hindustani even though both were somehow flops lol. Another movie I loved was Duplicate. Oh god Shahrukh was absolutely ace in the comedy scenes where his mom comes and puts salt in his food 😆

This movie is my guilty pleasure. I can't express how much I've enjoyed it! And I love this OTT version of SRK. Also found Twinkle extremely gorgeous in this.

I agree. I was really surprised it was a flop. I thought it was an excellent family entertainer.

i really love those late 80s and 90s and even early 2000s films

where characters had a certain sense of innocence to them

and their clothes were also normal and street and not real high gucci like that

also humour was the best.. silly but enjoyable..

no one pretended to be all great and mighty

it was like pure cinema

i love SRK in his overlarge blazers esp

the movie was a huge in television.

Even Hera pheri wasn't a hit(just above average) and Andaz Apna Apna was a disaster/flop. But both of these movies are among the greatest comedies ever made in India.

I don't get why comedy movies should have logic.

this movie shall be hailed a masterpiece after 10 years from now. People shall say that people didn't get it. The film was rejected for a reason. and Shahrukh is mostly known for his thriller n not comedies. That explains why Abbas mustan never worked with him after this film in comedy or any genre

and btw if ur guys supporting this film trying to say that film was really great and SRK should hv continued to part of this films, then God save him. His career would have been doomed in 1999 itself than in 2018
