Will Kareena do anything challenging? It has been 7 years!!

It has been years and years since kareena even remotely did anything challenging

Her last attempt at something challenging was 7 years ago in Talaash..since then she has either sleep walked in movies or totally stayed in her comfort zone

2013..Satyagarh..nothing challenging

2013..gori tere pyar mein..her usual comfort zone

2014..singham..no words needed

2015..bajrangi bhai jaan..no words needed again

2016..udta punjab..the least challenging role out of the entire cast..she was good but that was barely anything challenging though the movie as a whole was..so were the other roles

2016..ki and ka..usual comfort zone

2018..veere di wedding..usual comfort zone

perhaps the laziest A list actress around

almost all her contemporaries whether failed or succeeded..at least tried something challenging..if we take last 7 years into consideration ever since kareena has been stagnant in doing nothing challenging

Priyanka did a Mary Kom..Bajirao..now she is doing something super challenging with TSIP

Deepika did a Tamasha..Piku..now doing Chapaak

Vidya did a Kahani 2..Begum Jaan..Tumhari Sulu..

Anushka did an NH10..Phillauri..Pari..Zero though failed but at least she tried

Alia attemped a Highway..Udta..DZ..Raazi

Rani did a Mardani..Hichki

Even Aish tried a Sarbjeet..whether suceeded or not is another thing

Even katrina went on to do something challenging for her calibre like Zero

And lets not give marriage an excuse coz most of these mentioned are married..and if kids are concerned..she was stagnant much before taimur was born

There was a time kareena was building a legacy of being an actor..remember kwk in 2011..from anushka to almost everyone would say she is one of the best..now she is reduced to just being a star..sadly her worth as an actor is totally gone down..coz she has become so lazy and safe and complacent as an actor

Her forthcoming i doubt are anything out of the box either

Maybe Takht will be a bit more challenging than her usual roles 😆. Then again Kjo is directing it so he will probably let Begum sleepwalk through this too.

Maybe in Good News, since it is a concept or content-driven movie, she will attempt something out of the usual. I have high hopes from the movie since it has a nice theme. I am hoping she pushes herself to come out of her comfort zone.

Some people want to be actors and others want to be star. Kareena never wanted to be the next Meryl Streep or Nutan. She wanted to be a star. She's is the laziest, most natural actress. She has the skill set but never worked hard and i don't think she intends to. She's going down as legendary because in a span of 10 some years she has 2 very iconic characters: Poo and Geet. So her that's probs all that matters.

I dont agree that she is LAZY or any sort of such thing..

its just that she has that much capability which she has shown in DEV (excellent) and CHAMELI (over acting and not that convincing in some parts of chameli)..

Film industry is such a BRUTAL and CUT THROAT competitive place where NO ONE can AFFORD to be LAZY, be it insider or outsider.

She has shown her maximum potential as a performer until today.

good actress, but nothing GREAT.
