Varun was excellent in October but...

Varun was amazing in October - his career-best performance, I would say. Yet he didn't get the recognition he deserved, and was sidelined in most of the awards. This is really sad, because October was the film in which he was flawless. I just read on Quora people were saying that he deserved the best actor award, instead of Ranbir for Sanju.

With October, yeah Varun was good but there are many critics who found flaws in his acting and felt a more competent actor could've done wonders with that role. Do you people agree with this?

I am confused at the two polarized opinions regarding his acting, hence am asking.

There is no reward for delivering your career best performance. He was good but Ranbir/Ranveer deserved it rightfully.

He was good doesn't mean he was the "best" of the year!

I like him in October.
