Acting quality of actors and actresses compared to 90's

Has the acting quality of actresses declined drastically? Look at the 90's : we had Madhuri, Kajol, Juhi, Karisma, Urmila, Raveena, Tabu and Manisha, and all were decent actresses who shone even in the most mediocre of films. Compare this to now, when it is difficult to pick even 3 actresses who are good consistently. Probably Kangana, Alia and Deepika/Priyanka/Anushka are the only ones.

On the other hand, I feel acting of male actors has improved. Ranveer, Ranbir, Ayushman, Shahid and Varun are all fine actors, who are willing to experiment and do all sorts of roles. They are all versatile, as opposed to the Khans, who did similar kind of films and shone in one genre only, except perhaps Aamir Khan.

So, how would you compare the 90's to now in terms of acting?
