Saaho causes a Rift, after Prabhas ignored Rajamouli’s Warning
Baahubali director SS Rajamouli had warned Prabhas about Saaho’s flaws but his advice was unheard and now all is not well between the once close friends!
Prabhas and SS Rajamouli created magic on-screen when they collaborated for the Baahubali franchise. It was because of Rajamouli’s hard work on Baahubali that made Prabhas a pan-India star today. The actor-director duo, share a strong friendship off-screen as well, but it seems like Prabhas’ recent release Saaho has caused a rift between the South stars.
As per a recent report in News 18, before the movie’s release Prabhas shown the film to Rajamouli to get his opinion on it. The latter had pointed out that the film was just too long and that it should be trimmed short. Unfortunately, the advice went unheard and created a rift between the two. A source close to the two was quoted by News 18 stating,
The whole point of doing an out-and-out killer-thriller antithetical in content, tone, and mood to Baahubali was to prove that it was not only Rajamouli but also Prabhas who made Baahubali the historic hit it was. By signing a relatively new director (Sujeeth Reddy) and working shoulder to shoulder with the youngster, Prabhas hoped to recreate the Baahubali hysteria without Rajamouli thereby proving he was no flash-in-the-pan superstar. Sadly the effort not only backfired but it also alienated Rajamouli.

Ever since Saaho’s release, the Sujeeth directorial has been receiving negative reviews from the critics as well as the audiences, stating that the movie being an action flicks lacks good story line and is just too lengthy to watch.
Well looks like Prabhas should have listened to his dear friend’s advice. Recently, the film has entered the 100 crores club and despite the heavy rains Saaho has managed to earn 109.28 crores for its Hindi version.
