Yessss she was given a choice, she went there to choose between her everything vs saving that everything...that's not called blackmailing just like Naveen babu didn't blackmail prerna in return of saving her family

Basaj was no saint to help people free mein. Don't you know he is ruthless businessman with layers, so it's not his fault it's basis fault that they sent their to be bahu to beg in front of someone and then it's prernas fault that she chose to marry basaj but basaj is best just like Naveen baby was theee best...ohhh how I wish prerna to have married NB instead of falling for Anurag basu, he would have made prerna strongest lady by now💔

Thank you. There's no rule to be on the same page. As long as the discussions are healthy, I respect everyone's opinions.

Women i wud say are the overall victims to the patriarchal system. Divorce is still a stigma and so no matter wht kind of situation a girl goes thru, parents always hv one advice, beta nibha lo. Prerna is trapped in this cage of expectations where her walls are more psychological. Many issues exists more in our thoughts than in reality. But we r so blinded by our circumstances that we are nt able to clear out tht haze. Prerna fell to such haze where her desperation and fears didnt allow her to explore options.

True, that's why one needs to have a personality that can cut through the haze, her character is not written that way for the simple reasons I have explained earlier.

Ppl do manipulate situations and others to make them do their bidding. And i know these r characters. But the trp audience make them and their conduct a part of their lives. And they find the behavioural models in them, which is scary. And thts whr media needs to keep a watch. So whatever we may want to call this marriage, my issues with makers is domt normalize this. Coz it is not normal. Call a spade a spade. Even if it was essential to the plot, don't justify it.

@Bold Sadly, they do euphoric, they do! Whether it's ASR from IPK or Raman from YHM. Show makers normalise blackmailing and degrading women. That's the way it garners drama and TRP.

Coming bck to topic, Prerna as per her character is no more than 21-22 considering she was in college when the show began. And since i teach at college levels, i come across many such house bound middle class girls who do get trapped in their own ideosynchronies. They r naive and still full of flowery pictures, thus easy targets to such ideas of love and sacrifice for love. I have seen them walking in deep pits and then not knowing wht to do... It takes yrs for them till they realize if at all they do tht they need professional help. U cant really blame them as they watch the world with coloured glasses and keep faith in goodness.

Last part, very well explained.

Amongst them, you do have people who are able to have that skill to choose properly. Life has options always, but our personality types, age and other factors drive our CHOICES. That's why I said, it's her SKILL issue. Her growth and her evolvement as a person could be an interesting story to tell but then, I expect nothing extraordinary from the makers of an Ekta Show.

she had choice .She could have very well discussed things with her near ones. CVs did the same thing when she had to find the truth abt komolika. She teamed up with Anupam and Shivani but here she wanted to deal all alone. why would she be considered selfish. Practically speaking she can't sacrifice her whole life for kuki's sake and in real no one will do that. When creatives can show some unreal stuff like this simple smartness which was displayed during komolika time would have done real good. She can very well take care of Kuki even after getting married to Anurag . Her selfless can be protrayed even that way. i really don't like this age old theory of lovers need to get separated formula. we are in 2019 not in 2001.
