Saaho (Hindi) recorded another strong day on Saturday as it recorded collections of 24 crore nett. The film had a little drop which is practically nothing though real value would be a little more as the film did not manage to release in places on Friday. There is huge negativity for this film especially in the trade but the audiences have come out in numbers for two days. There was solid growth in Delhi NCR and East Punjab of 10% which is actually excellent for an action film and for a primarily Telugu film this phenomenal for the North.
The final collections of the first day also finished in the 25 crore nett range which put the first day all India business to the 100 crore gross mark. The second day has collected around 24.50 crore nett for a two day total of 49.75 crore nett which is excellent numbers two days. These numbers have come with 10-12% of the normal Hindi market missing and on a non holiday with normal ticket pricing and on top there is not much star value for the Hindi markets.
Then on top there is huge negativity so the results so far are far higher than can be expected in the Hindi markets and it may not go and be a huge HIT as the emotions are missing for the core Hindi markets but it does look like the film has a chance of doing decent business and its not a disaster for sure as far as the Hindi version goes. Even if we take a flat Sunday the film is easily going over 70 crore nett which is an excellent weekend and a restricted holiday on Monday to come.
