We will have to agree to disagree. Sometimes you need the cloud above you to clear to see what you truly have. He loved guddan but couldn’t fully love her because the baggage he carried. So what if he needed that push to open his eyes? It doesn’t erase anything they had before. One thing to me that was NEVER in question was his love for her. The only thing in their way was this huge wall called Antara. Either way he needed this chapter to close to fully be with guddan. We all make mistakes and that’s all he did, he made a mistake. He shouldn’t be burned over coals for that. He is trying everything in his power to do the right thing.

yeah but what's to say that she won't break his trust in the future? ..She's not that good and pure that she cant be capable of making that mistake. She's also human and stubborn just like AJ. I'm not excusing anything he's done and he's done some really bad things to her during this track but no amount of promises or security (and how do you even provide that security? other than just being there now and waiting, which he's doing) will change the fact that she'll have to trust what he's saying is true...and time will have to tell her that.
