About Forgiving Menaka.

The Garodias have been criticised a lot for not forgiving Menaka ....some have gone as far to say that if she becomes a villain again , the Garodias are the only ones to be blamed .

But if one sees properly , it is not the Garodias as a whole who have not forgiven Menaka. It is Surya alone who has personally not forgiven her . Savitri , whose life she had made hell forgave her long back and even pleaded with Surya and gave her shelter in her daughter's place . Saraswati , whose house it was ...did not hold a grudge and allowed her to live there with respect...when she had tried to wreck Saraswati's life by hiding her jewellery , breaking her off with Shitij....making a political alliance with her mother in law Dharaben . Even the outspoken Laxmi didnt utter a word and simply accepted her .

Now if you see carefully....Surya isnt an unreasonable person . He does forgive . He forgave Karan ....who plotted against him ...bcoz in his heart he knew that Karan's revenge , although misplaced , was not exactly unjustified . Also , he forgave Yuvraj grudgingly , bcoz he knew that Yuvraj was carried away by youthful lust ...which Kajri had manipulated . But again, if u notice , he took some time in forgiving Yuvraj....he had not , like the gals , forgiven Yuvraj in an instant . { Remember the Divali party where Saras called Yuvraj for peacemaking and Surya refused to respond.]

But he has trouble forgiving Menaka bcoz she backstabbed him sweetly , when he had made her the queen of the house and placed her on a pedestal .If Kajri is giving Garodias the hell today ....its not just Yuvraj , but Menaka too , who is more responsible for it . Signing away the full property to an immature youth like her son was a costly mistake that put out a whole family on the streets . Yuvraj was immature but Menaka was mature and had seen life and hence her backstabbing was much more terrible in Surya's eyes . If my spouse , along with her brother threw me out on the streets without any valid reason [ like karan's] ....when i had made her my queen , I wud perhaps never see her face again in my life.

Look at the answer that Surya gave his wife. I forgive her , she can live here , but dont expect more than that . I think it is a perfectly reasonable answer . It the instant forgiving that Savitri does that is not at all realistic. Also , he warned his wife that you are asking this nagin to stay here ....mark my words she may bite u again one day . Was his reaction so terrible ?

About the participation in the marraige thing...where all felt sorry for her . In Saraswati's marraige this lady sat on a whole chest of jewellery so that she suffers sasural trouble and taunts in traditional gujju society . In Laxmi's marraige she switched the jewellery sets with fake ones and greedily took all the real gems for herself. Such a tendency to fraud is unnerving .....and is it so abnormal for Surya to feel uneasy about Menaka handling jewellery in Durga's marraige ?

Quite frankly , after the terrible crimes she committed , how does Menaka even expect to get the same position in the house like before ? In fact I think Surya is the only one who has recognised her genes correctly.....nagin genes ! See how eagerly she put forward her hand to grab the keys of the house .....it shows that her ambitious nature had only been supressed ....it had not gone at all ! I must be at the top....in charge....this attitude ! This is not real repentance , is it ? Yes , for a brief time she spoke sweetly to the gals.....but it was more for her survival than repentance ! I mean she was living on the charity of those gals whose lives she had planned to wreck and her own son had kicked her out of the house....who wudnt be sweet ? Did she really have a choice ?

And lastly....who is she listening to now....Kajri ? The woman who foiled her son's life , the woman who made her wear a kothewaali dress and dance in the house , and even threw her in a kotha to be sold off as a kothewaali ? See the humilation Kajri has heaped on her as opposed to Surya's human and perfectly justifiable anger . Surya has never humilated her ....he is just angry . Her attitude shud have been....its a big thing I am getting to live with the family again....I will win their trust just like Karan . I really canot expect charge and all after what i put them thru.

If she listens to Kajri....I wud say Surya recognising her a a Nagin who wud never change was perfect . Years and Years of misery she inflicted on Savitri by taking away her charge ....and just a few months of not being in charge is making her impatient enough to listen to Kajri who threw her in a kotha.....shame on her ! If she does that ....do you still think she is justified in any....any way ?

Very well said koolsadhu1000 👏👏and very valid points indeed. Yes, Menka does deserve the treatment she is getting now, for everything she put Savitri and the girls thru. But at the same time, such a treatment is the reason why she is listening to Kajri. Savitri although very submissive by nature is very strong willed and doesn't easily fall prey to ppl like Kajri. But Menka on the other hand, is a very weak person by nature, and not to mention extremely insecure as well and can easily fall prey to manipulations and mind games. That's why Suryakant cud have handled Menka much cleverly by not giving her the position she enjoyed in the earlier days but at the same time keeping her involved and busy in the family activities, instead of just leaving her on the side, idle and doing nothing... which gives her the time and reason to plot against the Garodias and turn evil back again. I think that no matter how bad a person has been, they shud be given a second chance to prove that they have changed, and at the same time be wary of that person, w/o making it obvious. Knowing what a dangerous snake Menka is, Suryakant shud have kept Menka close instead of pushing her away right into the enemy's territory.

The main reason for why I want Suryakant to forgive Menaka is so that she doesn't turn negative again... she has been so nice with Savitri and the girls lately but now the evil is getting back into her and Kajri and Rasili are provoking the evil even more

i read the main 1st post & responses following it...which i understand the reasoning to keep menka busy so she dont have time nor rhyme n reason to plot or be influenced in becoming negative..
However, i 👏 koolsadhu1000's view as the wise say***Once someone shows you their true colors, believe it 4 the first time***
So, yea anyone can try to be nice 2 her also, but ultimately itz not gonna make a difference...as no matter how nice, she hasnt compromised on her innermost principles...
My main point***to change a grown adults thinking from the core takes a really dramatic/tramatic event or happening as by which Suryakant came to certain realizations and so did Yuvraj, however in reading that menka was only suppressed is AN ABSOLUTE CORRECT READING ON HER!! She only felt extreme suffering for her losses not realizations of her wrongs...that's the difference!

Just look at the diffrence between Karan and Menaka. What Karan has in his heart is real repentance. See the efforts he did to build back the trust of the Garodias whom he unwittingly wronged . Today all the Garodias are totally on his side although Laxmi isnt ....no one in their heart agrees with Lax . What efforts Menaka has done ? It is only now that they have moved in Garodia Niwas....she shud have started her real repentance now . Her nature is inherently political and highly ambitious. Suppressed nature due to circumstances is not real repentance at all .....see how it is rearing its ugly head now again. I really dont feel it is fair to say that if she goes back to her evil ways Surya is to be blamed as he was unforgiving....no way . If she goes back to her evil ways it is coz she is that way and enjoys being that way ....simple, period . Missing being her old self. And even if the keys were given to her and that Rasik returned with false apologies doing behna behna she wud have listened to him once more....just like she is listening to kajri today . That Kajri is a bad devil....but Menaka will be worst if she listens to her after what Kajri put her through . There is Kajri on one side who put her in a kotha....and the Garodias on the other who forgave her in an instant and gave her food and shelter although she reduced them to beggars. So okay , life isnt fully rosy yet and there r a few problems like her husband is still bugged with her , she doesnt have charge of the keys, she misses being in charge etc....but these surely are petty problems that will work out in time like they did for Karan when he put in efforts. All in all she still has a good life....and there can be no excuse for her listening to Kajri at all....if she does , it is only bcoz she had never really changed at all .

yes! very accurate as she had 'never' really changed at all...only circumstances of her own karma took away luxuries from her and others innocent attached to her suffered as well...she is no different than rasili/kajri though as she's more in their category type..
in today's world may crimes happen and we cant change that but most crimes arent considered sacred like ones of relations or marriages because these are silent vows we take to God and if you break them, it's like violating God's rules not some human beings...and when any crime is related to some belief, then it becomes more important than any human laws..modern times has brought modern sins unfortunately...
Realy family is of the heart...this modern time has brought more possessions, but less values...bigger houes, smaller families...if the Love within your mind is lost, you slowly begin seeing your own as 'others' and 'other beings' as your enemies, then no matter how much knowledge or education or material comfort you have, only suffering and confusion will ensue...For these very reasons we suffer and even realize yet dont make a change..
All happiness comes from the desires for others to be happy and all misery comes from the desire for oneself to be happy...Most foolish people get trapped in this dead end road of fake glitter...this glitter of 'our self happiness, wealth, success, fame, ego, power, knowledge, breaking precious relations' all for a time may seem invincible, but in the end only the reality of truth remains..seeing this truth the wise forgive many on the path of fake glitter and their wrongs. The weak cannot forgive, it is only an attribute of the strong as they possess true courage. Courage is not the absence of fear...rather it's acknowledging that something is ore important than fear, and such courage gives power for continuous efforts to make change...because no one can really stop being who they really are inside...thus, the negative will make continuous efforts to create unexplainable hurdles to which you may not win all battles against...but it's important to keep in mind that There's never a need to explain yourself to anyone because the person who likes you doesnt need it and the person who dislikes you wont believe...ultimately, some relationships are like glass, sometimes it's better to leave them broken than hurt yourself trying putting it back together..
Such is the case of explaining menka, and Suryakant in his unexplainable forgiveness towards only some people..Some things are such important lessons of life we can take in making our lives easier and happier...i just wrote down what i felt, hope i made some sense in my writing 😆

Harmoni , whatever u have written is really beautiful. I read it all and I agree with it completely. Courage is indeed acknowledging ur own fears and yet going ahead and doing the right thing .
Surya exercised choice in his forgiveness .....he perhaps recognised Menaka for what she really is. The argument that the Garodias shud have been clever and kept Menaka busy to avoid the inevitable is an interesting one ....but I ask ....how long ? How long can the Garodias go on doing it to ' curb ' Menaka ? Ultimately the inevitable wud have happened only ....she wud have , at sum point , simply reverted back to her own self only ! And this is the blunt truth of any human being .
Even in her suppressed condition she didnt lose three things.
Her blind love for her son Yuvraj. She throughout blamed Kajri for wat happened , never once her own son , who threw her mercilessly out on the street ....the bag at her and all . No mother wud have even spoken to her son after this....but Menaka never showed the self respect . Surya didnt blame just Kajri . He held Yuvraj equally responsible . See the difference ! Menaka's blind love for Yuvraj got everyone in this mess in the first place....did it change even a little bit when she was suppressed or when they have returned to Garodia Niwas ? NOt a bit .

Her wanting to be in charge . See how quickly she hankered after getting charge once they returned somewhat to their old status.

Lastly , her old jealousy of Savitri. It was there when she was in charge , it was there when suppression period was there , it is there after returning to Garodia Niwas . And Yet she didnt hesitate to catch this same Savitri's feet when it was question of her survival....see how clever she is.
The truth is she never was comfortable with changing for good . It is neither Kajri nor Surya who ' pushed ' her back to old ways.....she did it herself .

I think that Suryakant has forgave Menka but she doesn't deserve to be given the right of Suryakant's wife.
