Because many of the top A list female stars weren't exactly so called beauties: Jaya B, Nutan, Rani, Kajol or Aloo in recent times.
While Sara unlike the ones above mentioned already has male audience carving, which is now upto her on how to use.

Jaya B was bang average tbh, Nutan has a cute face and was a classy women, someone you stan. But she wasn't a great beauty either IMO, although from the oldies I like her the most as an actress(apart from Madhubala, but acting wise I rate Nutan more).
From the old ones, only Madhubala and Saira Banu were the ones I found really eye catching beauty. While Sharmila Tagore was also cute like button. Meena Kumari never appealed me, while I like Waheeda Rehman a lot, but she isn't exactly the best beauty ever for me as some BWF members find her to, but that is beauty is in eye of beholder.
Vajinthi Mala was hot.though, like very hot.
i think I get enamored with the different styles of old eras n the whole aesthetic,thus I find most women of that time pretty n but I find modern men much more attractive with all the suit n sherwani .
