About the pushing and hitting his chest. Normally girls don't/can't do that to their fathers but there is a strong aspect of friendship and camaraderie in Minnie and HS' relationship that allows her to do that without hesitation and for him not to take it the wrong way.

He also didn't expect things to unfold the way they did. Yes, he gave her the keys and the chest would have been eventually opened, but I'm pretty sure he had expected to be there when it happened. He would have been there when Minnie got the shock from reading the charge. he would have been there to calmly explain everything that happened - Imarti's cause of death, the events that led up to it, why Sartaj thinks he's responsible etc.

But the court notice screwed things up and everything just sort of exploded for him. It was bad enough that Minnie saw her mom go through so much for her case, now to see her dad go through the same... that too, all in the span of under one year... I hope she's able to handle it. If not, then a visit to the therapist is a must.

After the Imarti FB, when Minnie asked HS what's he smiling about - that whole scene was oddly peaceful. Yes, it was a father/daughter moment but it was also a best friends moment. Best friends who despite after getting into an ugly fight, don't give up on each other. Who have each other's back when the world around them begins to collapse.

It still amazes me how his bond with Minnie developed, how he has always been sure of his place in her life and vice versa, and how he has always managed to have that authority over her (a la the famous countdowns), and most importantly her trust from day 1. There was never any question about it.

He was so touched when she said jaise baap waise beti and yes, such a proud father in that moment. I love the way the CVs have been building this bit by bit since the beginning so that it seems so natural right now that they would be father-daughter. I just can't get over these two and the beautiful moments we get to see between them. I think most daughters can relate to this.

There are two things left for me (I know I'm being greedy): the day she calls him papa/bapu and when she tells him she can't live without him (I feel there will come a time when Babita will leave the house some point in the future). She won't be able to choose between her parents so easily then.

I know life partners play an important role, but the feeling of love that you get from your child is immeasurable and incomparable. He loves her more than he does Babita, by his own admission and I can only imagine that growing by leaps and bounds because of Minnie's stance. I will also say that any frustration I had with Minnie in the previous track when she was fighting with him, has since been wiped out because she has been superb of late.

Of course, Babes' hesitance is totally justifiable, I still find it amazing that even in those initial days, Minnie had that much trust in the man. Also, Babes' reasons for not staying were amazing: police wala hai aur gunde jaisi shakal hai. Matlab kuch bhi, Babes. 😆

Why do you think Babes will leave the haveli for good?

No he didn't expect things to unfold this way, not in his wildest dream. I'm sure after the pooja he was going to spend some time talking to her about his past and also addressing some of the questions she had regarding Imarti's place in his life and what Babita was supposed to do etc. Which is why he was so overwhelmed to see her outright challenge him and her mother and be ready to go against the world without a single explanation on his side, to the point where she didn't believe him even if he said he had killed Imarti. He initially thought she was being sentimental and was in denial but then he realized she did really have that unshakable faith in him.

As for the trauma she's going to go through, I don't even want to think about it. This is not going to be easy for her because she will see her hero in his weakest moments, probably breaking down, and the more he hurts the more she will be hurt. This will be darker than what happened to Babita maybe and seeing her father's dignity being trampled on in court is going to be extremely difficult for her. He knows this and wanted to spare her, just like Babita hadn't wanted her to accompany her in court. But this time Minnie will be there, she will not budge until it's all over.

I just watched the episode again and the scene where HS remembers his wedding night. He had such a soft expression on his face, nostalgic about fond memories of his wedding night. I was thinking that eventually this is how he should always remember her, once he gets rid of the guilt and the accusations. Minnie saw him smile and wanted to know why. I really hope they continue that scene and HS tells her a little bit about Imarti, shares with his best friend and cub. He was warmed by her loyalty and I can't wait to watch how things proceed from here.

I think she sensed a kindred spirit in him from day one. Also, she had just seen serious negativity in men around her. Khatri, her father, for example. Then walks in this amazing man who is nothing like anyone she's ever met, who was willing to be so helpful. Plus, I think the fact that he was a policeman made her feel more comfortable and perhaps a little safer?

That whiteboard checklist was fantastic. One of my favorite scenes as HS assessed himself against all the "negative" qualities listed about him, yet decided to let them stay at his place anyway.

Why will Babes leave? I feel a sense of inevitability about it. Things are bound to blow up between HS and her at some point, confession or not. Her self-respect/ego will get in the way again and she will look for the exit pronto.

Since the PH has said it's not a love story, I won't be surprised if at some point Babita feels she can afford to buy her own place and move out or move to another city for work.

It is going to be tough for Minnie. With Babes, she was going up against her dad. So everything that he did shook her to the core and altered so many different beliefs she had. With HS, it's the world vs. his honor & dignity. She doesn't know Imarti's dad, and we know people like Khatri will leave no stone unturned to humiliate HS. She's going to fight with them for sure but for how long? Eventually, even she will wear down and get emotionally drained.

It's interesting because we're going to see the character assassination of both a man and a woman but the way it's happening are vastly different. The type of allegations that will be made are going to affect them on different levels too.

Yup! This time whenever he thinks of Imartiz it should be fondly and with love. Of course there will always be a little bit of sadness because of her loss, but the sadness shouldn't be an overwhelming emotion.

Yeahh, when he punished Khatri, Minnie knew that he was righteous and fair. Rather than the uniform, I think it was the person behind it that made her feel safe. Knowing that an honest cop was wearing that uniform assured her that he won't try to screw her over. And then he just offered them his home without any provocation. Yes, there was an element of desperation to their acceptance but it was also a leap of faith.

You know, I've always wondered if they'll revisit the checklist. I'm curious to see how Babes' opinion of HS has changed.

Man, if that happens and HS is no longer a part of the show... it's going to feel so empty. Unless Minnie decides to stay behind with HS. 🤔 But then again, I don't see her leaving Babes alone for that long.
