For Hanuman, it definitely is and we all know about it. He did not intend to develop feelings for her. Giving some room to Babita in hisheart was never a part of his plan in life. He just wanted to help, doing which he himself never realized how and when he started taking baby steps towards her. Now in love he is nothing but particular, possessive and protective about her. He stood at a distance patiently waiting for her. He never had any complaints, demands or expectations from his side. He just followed his heart and made decisions for himself. He chose to support Babita, he chose to take care of her, he chose to love her and now he chooses to hurt her and let her go. Hanuman is a resilient man. He knows that even if he dies a thousand deaths in each moment, he will be able to survive but he has to keep his family safe from the adversities of life and if need be even from him.
Hanuman loves Babita. Period. He loves Imarti too because she has helped him become a man man enough. Had it not been everything that he learnt from his late wife, he would not have stood by Minnie and Babita. It is because of Imarti that he became a wise person who happens to have such deep understanding of life. Truth remaining that Imarti was his soul mate, along with the unfortunate reality being that she is no more. As a man, he has met two different women at two different points of time in life and fallen in love with them for different reasons.
Imarti was the one who set him straight and gave the right direction to his life. She was a beautiful, feisty and expressive woman who filled Hanuman’s life with all the colors. He was and still is a very passionate man, something which Imarti was able to handle because she was equally passionate about her and their life. Above everything that shall be said, Hanuman had married her, she was his wife. The very thought of what all would Hanuman have gone through in this eight years of loneliness pains me. He is a changed man now. Once all over the place, now he is a man who is able to contain himself. A man who is capable of surviving alone. He is changed.
This change will help me give you reasons as to why he gradually fell in love with Babita. A strong reason is his Veer Baalika. She is his baby and Babita is the mother of his baby. Other than that he loves the way Babita takes care of everyone, whether it is Minnie or him or anybody else. Babita is a very calm, composed and mature person and he needs this calmness in his life. After all this while of living alone, he wants to be taken care of.As he had said to Minnie that everyone needs an emotional support in life, he needs her. He needs Babita.
Babita on the other side has a past and a struggle of her own. Like many other girls, she was married at the age of seventeen and was instructed that Ashok is the love of her life. She obeyed and accepted her responbilities as Mrs. Ashok Khurana. Yearning for his love became just another part of her responsibility. She was an innocent woman unaware of the blemishes of the real world who kept living her life as everyone around her told she was supposed to until her little world came crashing down.
She met Hanuman in a very extraordinary way at the weakest point of time in her life. After she became a little stable and life became clearer for her, she understood that Hanuman has a soft corner for her in his heart. She understood his care, affection and protectiveness. She understood his subtle hints but she held her walls high because fear crept in her heart. After all she is a mother first and that too a divorcee.
When she decided to give love a chance she did acknowledge the fact that he is an important part of her life she developed feelings for the chivalrous gentleman in him. The side which he chooses to show to the world. For someone who has fallen in love for the first time in her life,Hanuman Singh fits the bill for a prince charming straight out of a fairy tale.Someone who has saved her and been there for her always. No doubt that Hanuman defines what they call ‘HERO’ in a better way but Babita is unaware of his pain.
She feels like it is her fairytale, Hanuman is her prince charming and they are going to have their very well deserved happily ever after. She wants him to express his feelings like any hero was able to do but little does she know about everything that life has done to him. Little does she know about his fears, anxiety and angst. Little does she know that the real power of love lies in the capacities of accepting the weaknesses and demons of the better half. She does not understand such kind of love because she has not experienced anything like this.
She has said previously that she does not feel worthy enough of Hanuman Singh. Adding to her restlessness are her insecurities because of all the ways Hanuman keeps Imarti close to his heart. She is experiencing the repercussions of his vulnerability, anger and whim. For her, he has become something that she never expected him to be. Adding fuel to fire are his attempts of pushing her away. Again I will say he loves her without a doubt but she has just started acknowledging her feelings for him but they are in this together. In different fonts and on different pages right now but together. She will definitely reach out to him, understand him in a better way and accept him for who he really is.Till then we have to wait and watch how their story unfolds.
