Yup. The context in which he has said these words have been different but they still ring true. HS is an extremely patient person but that doesn't mean that he doesn't have a breaking point. Even he has a tolerance level and once that's crossed, who knows how he'll react.

In a way, I think HS feels like only Imarti was able to truly understand him. She was able to correct his wrongs, guide him on the right path, handle all his passions etc. I would even dare to say she must have been his best friend. Yes, there's Lala, but when it comes to insecurities that he's not even willing to share with himself, Imarti must have surely known.

After her death, he might not have known who to turn to. Not sure if his grandfather or father would have been alive at this point but I doubt he would have felt comfortable going to them and crying about his wife. As a result, he must have drank away all his tears and anguish rather than talking about it with someone. Yes, he had Lala and Naeem Bi whom he could have turned to, but their equation with Imarti was completely different to what HS had with her. They could have heard him out but what advice or consolation could they have possibly given him that would have made him feel okay?

He has bucketloads of patience, but it's a finite quantity. People like him who are extremely patient... well, when they lose it then it's pretty intense. He does people the courtesy of warning them and tries to apply "non-violence ka paat" where possible but he cannot be expected to tolerate everything every time. That's unfair.

Imarti was his soulmate but she was also the one to fill the void that he had growing up without parents, if you know what I mean. There was a scene where he told Dadu that in his case it was Imarti who taught him what his parents had not - that's the place in his heart and mind she occupies. Woh sach mein HS ke aatma mein ghul si gayi hai. She was and will always be part of his identity, and completed him in a way no one else could. I remember him telling Babita that he would not spend a single day away from her since they got married, even when she went to her maayka he accompanied her. He never felt the need to write her a love letter because she knew him inside out, she was his better half, truly his ardhangini.

When she left, she took part of his soul with her and he has been trying and failing to fill that void with alcohol and working himself hard. I believe that a lot of the medals he must have earned as police officer were the result of his effort to prove himself as a good man, as an upright police officer who would fight against injustice the way his Imarti used to.

She is irreplaceable and will always be so. No matter how much support he receives from those around him, he would have to bear this burden alone. They can hold his hand while doing it, at most. The fact that he puts her on so high a pedestal means that he is always looking up to her, which is understandable, but it also means his field of vision does not often include the "mere mortals" on the ground.

Babita is no superwoman with exceptional qualities, if you know what I mean (and thank goodness for that, 'cause we've had enough of mahaan perfect FLs). She will always feel inferior if she compares herself to Imarti, but I don't think that should even matter in the first place. She doesn't need to be special, just special to him is good enough. He doesn't expect a lot from her to be honest, except to be true in her love and be a loyal friend and lifelong companion. She does not have to move mountains or do something extraordinary in order for him to respect her or cherish her. I think even if she never fell in love with him, HS would continue to love her.

I wonder where all her stuff went. Did he lock them up in some room, give them back to her family or donate them? I know he kept the diya and karchi, but did he keep some of her other stuff too?

Yes, I remember covering this in another post and it's something that NB deliberately does in order to get a rise out of him. She knew his father and his antics. Perhaps putting it out there would help.

I had mentioned previously that one thing Minnie and HS share in commons is that they display the same traits that the hated in their own fathers. He the drinking, she the anger issues.

And true to her character Babita backed out into reassuring known territory the moment he prodded on about Meeta and what she felt. Sad because he really wanted her to be truthful and tell him openly that she felt jealous because she loved him. It was lovely to see him speaking to her about the many hurtful things she has told him or hurt him through her behaviour such as saying thanks to him. Such a wonderful wonderful scene which highlighted the essence of who they both are as individuals and how different they are!

Looved the episode as usual and Minnie. Love the fact that she has now discarded her too-wise-beyond her age avatar and is enjoying being a kid.

They are both sticking to their comfort zone but the pehle aap pehle aap in this case is not going to get them further. Someone has to take the first step and put their toes in the water.

Yes! It was another scene that I loved of his. Our parents or school doesn't have to be the only source of knowledge. Learning happens via our interactions with our environment, whether that includes people, nature, books etc. I'm so happy that HS didn't close himself to learning such important life lessons.

Your bit about Imarti being his soulmate is just so on point! I don't even have the words to elaborate on it as it's so perfectly said.

His attitude towards work was in part his way to distract himself from the ghosts that were now haunting his home and in part a way to keep Imarti alive. With each person he helped, he was keeping her teachings and the lessons she imparted to him present not only within himself, but also with the lives he further impacted.

"...but it also means his field of vision does not often include the "mere mortals" on the ground." - could you elaborate on this part?

Babita needs to be confident in herself. Yes, she has confidence in her cooking skills which has propelled her in her career, but she also needs to have confidence in herself as a woman with desires, if that makes sense? I agree that she doesn't need to leap bounds to prove her love for him, but she does need to be a little more in tune and considerate of his feelings. She also needs to be a little more assertive of what she wants out of him. If she wants him to extend his rights on her, then say so. If she wants to have more of the Dheere Jalna moments, then give indications of it. I think it was you who said this, but she needs to stop this hot and cold attitude. Just be honest about it. I don't even want to say that it's not in her character to do so cuz she has been surprising us from the start. Even Minnie was shocked seeing Babes being so determined and fierce and she's known the woman since birth.

Another amazing episode and great performance by Paridhi and Aniruddh.

Mini was so cute when she said “don’t you think I deserve better parents?”. She has subconsciously started to think of HS as her other parent. I don’t know if she realizes this yet or not, but when she does, she will give HS full right as her Father. I think she might take his last name.. she will be Mini Singh, Daughter of Babita Singh and Hanuman Singh 😃.

Loved the convo between HS and Mini when she complained to HS that there will be no confession in this case. Awww she is so eager for her parents to come together. That was heartwarming. But, be a little patient, Mini. And Mini explaining to HS what live in relationship means 🤣. Mini also just knows the superficial textbook meaning of Live-In, she doesn’t understand the depth of two consenting adults choosing to live in together under the same roof out of their own will, and not because they are bound by “bonds of marriage” and society. This brings me to the scene where Mini sees HS grab Babita’s hand, and then she closes her eyes, runs off. Aww the innocence 😆. Mini has never seen any kind of “romantic” interactions between her biological parents, so when she sees Hanita in this “state”, she is quick to think this is what “romance” looks like and tells NB to get them married because situation is out of control. Awww Little does she know the intensity of love that Hanita will share in the near future. Living in the same house, she is bound to be privy to some of their romantic interactions... their intense love, their desire for each other. In those moments. she will truly understand the meaning of true, deep love. She will then emancipate herself from the bitter feelings she brings towards love. Ahh I can’t wait 🙌.

Having said that, I just cannot wait for Babita to experience the intense love from HS... something she has never experienced before and that she truly deserves. Once he clears the baggage of his past and frees himself from Imarti’s memories, he will then be able to give all the love immersed inside of him to Babita. Babita is about to experience this intense love, his desire for the woman that she is, his care and affection from this man... I don’t think she can handle it. Can’t wait for this either 🙌.

I think Live-In relationship was brought up for a reason. It’s becoming more and more common these days. How awesome will it be if they show Hanita actually in a live-in relationship before they get married 😀.

I wont be able to do justice analyzing the scenes betweeen HS and Babita that was shown in today’s episode so I am not even gonna try to. The performance by these two was spectacular to say the least. There is so much pent up feelings, frustrations, desires, expectations between these two that I just wish they would talk it out and solve it. Not just that, I also feel there’s a lot of sexual tension between them... to be in such a close proximity and not be able to express any of that must really suck. But I know it’s not that easy. It’s not easy for HS to open up to Babita. He’s not there yet. I hope hope that when he’s revealing all his feelings, dard of loosing Imarti, Babita is there to console him. I want her to hold him in her arms and let him release all his feelings 😢.

I didn’t mind the hand holding, but I was mad at HS when he looks up at Babita and drinks his alcohol😡. And Mini is extremely right in questioning him about his intentions towards her mother. I would also like to know if he is so immersed in Imarti’s yaadein, why did he raise her hopes? 🙁

Hoping for another amazing episode tomorrow 🙌

He is always busy looking up to Imarti, at the pedestal he put her on, that his field of vision is upwards and not at ground level where there rest of his loved ones are, those who are mere mortals in that they haven't been elevated to the status Imarti has. He almost idolizes her and it is obvious in everything he says about her.

Babita's confidence will only come if she introspects and asks herself what she wants, because HS has made it clear that he is just waiting for to clarify her stance on this relationship, it will always be her prerogative to decide where the limits lie. Yes, I did say she blows hot and cold and this is very frustrating. She cannot dedicate songs like that which make him come running all the way back home from Chandigarh and then just call herself a tenant. I think he wants her to be open about her insecurities, jealousy, wishes, desires, etc. but only if he gives her the same right. Has he ever been able to show his possessiveness about her? No. Express his desires? No. His insecurities that were driving him crazy when Ashok was still around? No.

He does not want half measures anymore. It's all or nothing. And I LOVE him for that!

It would actually be interesting to see if they have live-in relationship the kind that HS thinks it means. Not sure the actual one would happen, not with Minnie around. HS and Babita are both conservative but who knows what the CVs have in store for us.

@bold

I feel that way during the pottery scene too, as well as when he went to see her on the balcony the morning after his return. This is early stages of their love story and the CVs are not shying from it. I have a feeling there will be a lot of such things happening even before they get married, burning our screens.

As for why he raised hopes in Babita, I am not sure he did so deliberately. He fell in love with her, without planning it. He did what he could for her, even after her rejection, without ever promising her anything in terms of commitment or relationship. She fell for him too but only one aspect of him. If she had known or understood the darker side of HS they would not be in this position in the first place. That goes for Minnie too.

Yes, Live-in seems a little weird with Mini in the picture... but she's almost 18. It will be very unconventional if they actually show this phase.

@ bold: Totally felt there was lot of sexual tension during the pottery scene as well. The way HS looked at Babita with longing eyes and Babita understood what he's trying to convey. For sure, their scorching desire to be with each other will surpass their conservative mindset I feel. It makes me wonder if consummation will happen before they get married 😳.

I understand what you are saying about him raising hopes in Babita, but HS needs to verbalize it and understand that things are out of his control now. I think after his conversation with Mini, he will distance himself from Babita and will intentionally hurt her. Mini, for sure need not be more involved now.

I don't know about scorching desire. I think that is yet to come when they are truly equals in this relationship.

In a way Minnie was right, love complicates everything. Nothing in their dynamics will remain simple. The point is that each person in this trio needs to weigh the pros and cons and decide which way to go.

As for HS, he needs help. Proper counseling and therapy potentially. He can't continue like this, love story or not. In fact, these two arriving in his life is the impetus for him to get out of this misery, otherwise imagine him living the rest of his days out like this. He would indeed damage his heart and liver and die.
