He could have easily done what she wanted him to do and laughed off everything but he had to make the point clear that right now she does not have a hold on him. About the drinking bit, Babita was the one who started it and he had said to her "Mujhe provoke Karne ki koshish mat Karo."

They say with great power comes great responsibility, and Babita can't have power without learning to use it responsibly.

HS would give it to her if he felt that she was in the right space at the right time. She is not. Also, her emotions are all over the place and he knows that she is not very good at controlling them, hence her tendency to do things in a haphazard way.

Also, I think he wants her to realize that half measures won't work. IF she wants the right to have a say in his life, it would have be all the way, and would have to be reciprocal, give and take. I am actually really really pleased to see a ML that stands up for his right to expect happiness on his own terms, that he isn't going to be a mindless, selfless lover who lets a woman take him for granted and keeps giving him mixed signals.

He said, Imarti Imarti thi.

No one can take her place, and no one will have power over me the way she did.

What Babita must understand is that there will be a day when he says Babita Babita hai, period. But she has to work her way towards that.

I think the scene was very intense on multiple levels. For Minnie, it was in a romantic context. I'm not sure how much of the conversation she heard from that far up, but seeing HS pull her Babes closer like that might have come off as being romantic for her. After all such actions are not only described in the novels she's reading, but also in the overall media that she's consuming as well.

The reality on the other hand, was completely different. HS didn't hold Babita's wrist out of some intense longing or desire. Rather, it was out of irritation and anger because of her stubborn actions. He was already worked up by the day's events and Babita instead of laying off, just kept on poking him.

So yes, the intensity was there but it was in a completely different context.

Hi and thanks 🤗

Yeah he said "Woh Imarti thhi" after she took her name to stop him from drinking "Agar Imarti Ji hoti toh". Hanuman understands Babita and her expectations too well but I return he just expects her to talk like Babita and not take her late wife's name. You are absolutely right, he meant Imarti is irreplacable. A part of him sincerely needs to move on ... For which both of them have to go and grow through the pain. Babita needs to step up.

Is he scared? Hell yes! Remember the time when Babita had called Ashok to the Haveli. He is very possessive about her but at the same time is scared that if she sees the other real side of him ... She will walk away because she won't choose pain after going through so much in life.

I say she needs to break the ice because such innocent attempts are going to get them nowhere. They need to talk.

You know, I would normally suggest that they need to talk.

But in some ways, I also agree with HS that they need to let things go with the flow a bit. Now that they know how they feel about each other, they need to just experience the little things in life and grow more comfortable with each other, and then have a talk. Right now there's too much pent up frustration and guesswork so the fuse is kind of short.

I also agree that she needs to break the ice. He gave her a clear message that he always let her choose how to take their relationship and respected her wishes, and he will continue to do so. If she wants to keep him at arm's length then he will continue to do so.

Like I was saying in a previous post, when he fell for her I don't think he went all the way to planning marriage, family, etc. For him it happened bit by bit. Also, let's not forget that he fell in love with Imarti after he married her. As NB says, Imarti was a clear slate he could write his love story on. Babita is different.

She is his daughter's mother and I was right that on some level he is concerned about how Minnie would fit into all this (he didn't tell her that, of course). He really is a very wise man. I was quite impressed with the way he handled everything today.

The way Babita's face literally fell after he says Imarti Imarti thi. Yep, there can't be comparisons. Babes obviously took it as you're not as special as her for me. But what HS meant was both of them are unique and can't be compared. He loves both of them differently, one has shaped him as a person and one has given him life all over again.

He did say it indirectly to her once when he told her, "Aap ko kissi se na compare kar saku."

Given what happened today, I appreciate HS all the more because he knows exactly what position each of these women hold in his life. Imarti Imarti thi aur Babita Babita. Yes, at one point he may seen glimpses of Imarti in Babita because of their similar actions but in due time he came to realize that they are two completely different women. They're not interchangeable and he will never even dare to dream of doing such a thing.

Also, Babes can't use Imarti as a way of nestling her way into HS' heart or life. If she wants to solidify her position, then she has to do things on her own. She can't use Imarti's support or behave in a way that she would have.

This is why NB was trying to explain to HS in one of the BTS videos at her house that a woman can share everything but not her love. He has to eventually clarify what he meant.

What I kind of didnt get was Minnies reaction...she seemed embarrassed and was kind of shocked..? I thought she would be upset. Then Babes responds with the whole, well now youve done it ...hope your happy about this and that in front of Minnie (Cant remember exact lines).

Can anyone break that scene down for me? Bit confused. Did I miss something? Did Minnie find the scene "sexy" as in something she reads in her romance novels?

i think mini related the scene to the part of novel she read for babes few episodes back where the hero grabs the heroines arm and pulls her near and babes stopped her reading further feeling embarassed at the romantic overtone.😆
