Well said. You can tell how much effort goes into planning and pre-planning to maintain the quality for so long. On top of that, they were not rigid and decided to pay attention to viewer feedback and course correct a while a go when things were going haywire on the show. That's commendable for ITV, warna fans to bol bol ke thak jaate hain.

More than anything I am a Katha kottage fan!

True.. I think they are the only production house among all that I know, who actually reply to fans and keep them updated as to what and how the show is progressing as well as are all ears to viewer's feedback. Such shows can actually be interpreted differently by different people. I am glad, they actually have a social media account and keep the fans updated as well as explain the truth to a misguided person. The level of dedication too, by not just her/them but the cast as well. Had it been Balaji telefilms, they would not even have the audacity and courtesy to ask for a feedback. Because according to them, they are great at whatever they do....

ZGH was a 26 episode show ... but they are so consistent and realistic with PB since 179 episodes. I am a media student and I will say that a show like PB should be studied for everything it has to offer.

even i loved zindagi gulzaar hai. Pakistani shows are much better than present Itv shows. DD Used to have such great unforgettable shows. Sony tv should be proud of their channel challenging crap shows of other channels. They should thank katha cottage for coming up with such a unique concept of PB. Wake up audience. I would request non watchers of PB to atleast give it a try and you wont regret.

Sony has their own limitations when it comes to trps, after 2015 their channel lost lots of viewership none of their show ever cames in trp list, so what kind of pressure they are putting on ph dint get it. Except their reality shows nothing cames on trp chart list. And I read somewhere this show is finite series like other show ladies special, and bayhadh, but even if this show complete year it's enough. Because finite series should not be more than year,

Hello there. Are you too new? Welcome to the forum....🤗

I agree with what you are saying. Perhaps, this is the only channel that does not have it's own award show too that makes it all the more boring. But the shows, are definitely amazing.....

I hope and pray that the whole PB team gets it's due. They deserve it. Sony has supported it's shows and ph's ... They'll support PB too

I remember Sony taking a risk with KRPKAB too and standing by the PH as long as it could. That show was also quite different and it took a bit of time before becoming massively popular.

PB took less time to become popular and has maintained the same tone and style more or less. I really hope this experience encourages others to come up with good content.

I am sorry, but I kind of disagree with you. Krpkab was one of the most popular shows on Sony TV when it aired. It had a trp of 1.2 when it opened. And, even if the trp was low on TV, it always stood as the first show in online trps, beating Ekta Kapoor shows. It also has an IMDB rating of 95%, which no show has got till date. I am sure, no show would have been this popular. And we were the only fandom to bring back a show after it went offair. People signed petitions from all over the world, kept contacting Sony and obviously #DONTENDKRPKAB trended on Twitter with fans not eating for days( nearly a week). I could not contribute to the trend on Twitter, since I dont have an account, but I did sign a petition. Actors too gave in... All in all our show was popular since the day it aired and it did not take time. The confession episode of 14th June has too crossed 11 million views.

I don't have the numbers and it was a big mistake to bring this up here because it seems like I'm comparing, which I'm not. I'm talking about the narrative style taking a bit of time because it was so different from the typical shows at that time but once people got used to it they loved it. I was not referring to the rating aspect itself.

Did not mean to offend anyone.

As an international viewer, my contribution doesn't matter but I hope the show lives long enough to tell its story without it being rushed. If Sony does decide to end it, I hope they give the CVs enough time to come to a decent, and proper conclusion.
